Fantastic first showing for him. Really solid at both ends of the ice. Showed some physical play too. I'm excited to see more of him.

He'd best be ready come camp. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that there is at least one spot to be won on the back end

Classy as hell Philly. Bumping Bickell after the shootout goal. Good on ya! Seriously well done!

What's an infusion?
- KINGKENZO

An IV infusion, like when they hang a bag and poke your vein and administer the drug right into the blood.

MS is an disease where your white blood cells go crazy and attack your nerve fibers. That's why you end up not being able to move- because your nerves don't work.

The drug that I'm talking about that's like 3 weeks old is a monoclonal antibody. So the antibodies that we have in our body are programmed to go after a whole bunch of things, like the cold you had last week. In MS, we gotta stop your white blood cells from going after your nerves. This drug is literally a bunch of antibodies against white blood cells, and it kills them. No white blood cells to attack your nerves = less MS. Without knowing too much about the drug I'm assuming you'd get the IV every 4 weeks, akin to other monoclonal antibodies like Remicade, if you've heard of that one.

Oh that point was huge.Playoffs for sure next year.Future is very bright.

Was impressed with Hagg. Obviously only one game but he looks like he belongs.
Pretty disappointing year all the way around.

If someone said before the season started that the Flyers would miss the playoffs, have the 13th pick in the draft, Giroux would fall off a cliff, and there would be a huge question mark in goal heading into 2017-2018 I think most people would be pretty pissed.

Provorov certainly looks like he's the real deal. A legit # 1 dman for years to come. So that is certainly great news.

Don't underestimate the momentum that point will carry into next season.

Understandable. SCWB has that Murray guy between the pipes don't they? I heard the scouting report on him is he's better than Stolarz.

Absolutely; I mean, come on. This isn't pee-wee youth soccer. They keep score up here. I don't care if a person has the rosiest outlook or the most dour, the bottom line in professional sports is that the 2016-17 Philadelphia Flyers didn't get the job done

There are absolutely some bright spots, and they aren't close to the worst team in the league. But this team is a notch below playoff contention and the gap between them and being elite is not going to get closed overnight

I will admit I'll be a little pissed if Weal doesn't get re-signed

You'd think he would, because it's not like they have a ton of skilled forward depth just screaming at him to move aside, but you never know how they evaluate late-season production

Agreed. I think the d prospects are going to be pretty solid. In the next 2 or 3 years they can potentially have a young blueline that will be very cap friendly allowing them to infuse some talent up front. Desperately need to do that. And of course the question mark in goal right now is a little worrisome.

Can't fault him for that, myself. If you're playing it, you should be trying to win it

Poking around the Buffalo media, for instance, all that losing they did on purpose hasn't gotten them a freaking thing and this season's results might cost Murray and Bylsma their jobs

We have argued it before, over and over. But I don't care if you draft 9th or 15th. Need to be trying to win

THey really only tried to lose once and they ended up with Eichel. The rest of those seasons were just poor management

Well, he's unrestricted. I'm just hoping the price doesn't get driven up high enough where they back out. That's the fear I have.

Serves them right for just...being so obnoxious about it. Trading a goalie the second he gets on a hot streak? Give me a break.

Always a possibility, and I never fault guys for leaving for a better opportunity/guarantee if one exists. I mean, it's hard. You never want to lose a skilled forward for nothing. But at the same time...I don't know what you give Weal for 22 pretty good games in a season where, despite the standings, you've been out of it for a good chunk of those games

I don't know. Not sure what I'd offer, if I was Hextall

Point cost them at least two spots. Kings tied after 2 as well. Rolls eyes. So you're saying there's a chance!

Eichel was basically a point per game player this year while overcoming a serious injury. He's got some 75-80 point seasons in his future. And yes, while he's not McDavid he's a hell of a consolation prize. I think Buffalo would be able to trade him for a better package than a third pairing defenseman.

Thanks
FYI, I'm working on getting into a PA program so I understand the difference between monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies hahaha

Hey, I get it: He's a really good player. No one disputes that, and no one with eyes should. He's a beast.

But it's damn annoying when people act like the only way to get an elite player is with those first few slots. It's just not true. The odds are higher, yes. Absolutely.

But we were just talking about John Carlson tonight. Very late first-rounder.

Erik Karlsson was picked right around where the Flyers will select.

I know I am not changing anybody's mind, but it really is damn annoying when people make it sound like picking 13th or 10th or 12th is the first sign of the apocalypse

I think Sutter has done a pretty good job. Lombardi made some mistakes that are biting them in the ass, but they did lose quick for months
