Nick Suzuki is a guy I'm starting to keep my eye on. I've seen him go in mocks as high as 6th overall and as low as 27th. Just gives you an idea how crazy this first round is this year.

I think they value Morin pretty highly tbh. We saw glimpses of what he's capable of defensively in his call up. It's hard to argue that the Flyers aren't sorely missing that type of player back on the blue line.

If someone is getting dealt I think it's between Myers, Sanheim and Hagg. Realistically you can't overhaul the D with this many young players at once. Plus it seems like Gudas and AMac are sticking around. So that's 5 of 7 D spots filled between Provorov, Ghost, Morin, Gudas and AMac. I'm expecting a trade but I doubt it will be Morin.

I see 2 of Hagg/Morin/Sanheim making the jump next year, with AMac and Gudas as well. They year after, Myers and the other may make the jump byt the end of the year. That's 6 guys in 4 years. Not all at once.

Not that it matters anymore, but choosing between TK or Cousins to sit if both are healthy, while VDV isn't even looked at as a possible scratch is incredibly laughable, although unsurprising which is the scary part.

Let him get his 82nd game in, and if he somehow is this much of a lock next year

I don't see Sanheim making it unless he completely blows the doors off everyone and even then i believe Hextall and Co. will send him back for another full season with the Phantoms. Hagg and Morin are the one's in line for serious playing time next year.

I believe one of them makes it out of camp and starts the season with the team and the other one, will be the first call up from the Phantoms should anyone get hurt. Idk about both being there from the beginning, that's a lot of youth and inexperience to start a season.

I hope Hextall has some plan to shake things up.This year has been a waste. No playoffs and an awful 1st round pick position.Unlike most here im not that overly excited about any of the forward prospects coming. This team lacks serious star power up front.I don't see any difference makers on this team or coming.I strongly believe Hextall needs to trade either Giroux or voracek.Maybe another guy as well Simmonds or schenn. Not to get better for next yr but worse. They need to get this forward Corp in line with the D Corp coming.

I don't see how picking in the top 12 or so of the first round is an awful 1st round pick position.

Really excited to be seeing Vecchione and Hagg. Fun to see a lineup of kids with Vecchione, Hagg, Provorov, Konecny, Stolarz, Ghost and Cousins.

Not sure if it was mentioned, but Bickell should get a standing ovation tonight.

You mean the same guy that has a worse coaching record this season then Hak but also has Seguin and Benn?

AGreed 100% Flyers fans are typically pretty sharp, unless you listen to WIP, so hopefully they will.

Agreed: No on Ruff.

No need to give Hakstol the shiv, two years into it. Didn't love every decision he made this year but I think you can win with his system

We'll see what the roster looks like next year -- this year has been bitterly disappointing to me because I truly feel they should have made the playoffs, but I'm not going to throw myself off a bridge. They aren't the worst team in the league and they have some interesting pieces

Not all of the kids will make it, but hopefully enough of them do so they can contend very, very soon

Just think of what he could do to the Flyers.

On second thought, nevermind. I don't want to think about that.

Why do people constantly think that VDV playing is not a big deal? Just because he is a 4th liner??? I understand that a 4th liner doesn't make or break a teams playoff chances, however with the amount of ice time VDV gets, I would argue that it makes a bigger difference for this Flyers squad. Not only the amount of ice time, but the particular times, within the games, that he does play. No 4th liner should be playing after 10 minutes left in the 3rd period, unless we are up. As long a Hakstol is going to roll all 4 lines no matter the timing, we need better players on the 4th line.
