Nahh brah.

Re-do the system. Max salary for careers. Anything else goes into the pot to improve society as a whole.

F the current system so to speak.

Oh, so the NHL should generate all of that money, and it shouldn't go to the players or the owners? It should go to infrastructure, education and healthcare? You have a naïve sense of reality.

The NHL isn't a chairty???

Reality can be changed. No reason to think the human society has evolved to its best state.

But your business (The NHL) is founded on indentured servitude...your business does not exist without these players...you don't produce a commodity to sell without them...and at some point every company HAS to listen to their employees.

I just think if someone thinks so strongly to attend the NHL will figure out a way to "get by"..again, they DO ABSOLUTELY want to be in China for the 2022 Olympics...

With Letang out 4-6 months, this could be to the Penguins' advantage.

If they are so principled, and feel so strongly about it (a la Ovechkin), that they are willing to just up and leave their contracted NHL job to go play for their country, they should just forego the NHL and go to their country and play for their national team.

Put your money where your mouth is or stfu.

As a business person I get it. Don't frank with my business. I don't care if it's $1 or $1M.
- Scoob

Yeah, we all know how much the owners of NHL teams hate to shutdown their businesses We get reminded every time a new CBA gets negotiated

The salary cap and roster management would be a bear to navigate for some. Think of Washington losing Ovechkin, Backstrom, Oshie, Kuznetsov, Holtby, and Carlson, but having to keep them on the roster and keep cap compliant.
