Like, let's say a certain someone likes to nitpick posts to start confrontations when there aren't any, gives vague replies so that he can weasel his way out of being wrong, refuses to admit he's wrong, and when evidence is given contrary to his belief, it is dimsmissed and/or he says it's irrelevant...I just wonder what kind of hell that person's wife must live in.

Talentless players don't make it to the NHL. As I stated previously I'm okay with Vandevelde as a short term role player and understand why he has remained in the lineup..moving forward I'd like to see the Flyers upgrade their talent.

i obviously don't have a dog in the fight, but i find it hard to believe people get so lost in the semantics of saying a guy sucks or not.

obviously, yes. Vandevelde or guys like sestito or pick whatever scrub/goon you want do not suck at hockey in the purest sense of the word. they could skate/shoot circles around your average folk on this board. its clearly relative though. in relation to the pool of NHL talent as your comparable sample, its really not that much of a leap to say they "suck".
