Weise can also fight, but with Prout likely to be suspended I doubt it will be that heated. If you want a guy who can fight, bring up Goulbourne.
I saw a rather silly post yesterday complaining about Simmonds having to defend Gudas, but that's just because he happened to be on the ice at the time. It's not like any team has a strong fighter on every line. - Feanor
well if you watch the replay Simmonds doesn't fight prout for the hit, he may have been on his way over to do so, but he engaged right away as McDonald confronted prout and prout began dropping his gloves to engage McDonald and that's when his attention turned to Simmonds as Simmonds was just skating in. Simmonds had no choice at that time. |

Is there confirmation it's a concussion for Gudas?
Looking at the hit again the impact seems to be mainly with his chest, and I thought I heard a report during the NJ game that he was having trouble breathing during the 2nd intermission. - Feanor
Yes. |

I would be surprised if it got very heated Tuesday night. Quenneville wasn't injured by the Gudas hit, I thought it was actually pretty clean. Weise was rightfully penalized for charging. Unfortunately, Palmieri was positioned not along the boards, but by the stanchion, making the impact of the charge worse.
Safe to assume, Luby won't be back next season. The Schultz retirement tour has 3 more games. Kudos to him for having such a long career, but it is definitely the end of the road for Nick. |

To me this has been a problem all year....when your top goal scorer has to double as a policeman, you have a hole in your line up - landros 2

Yep as soon as Prout made a bee line from the bench to Gudas he was getting a Game misconduct. MacDonald was first on the scene but then Simmonds had him step aside.
I dress Morin and pair him with Ghost.

and like I said....it would have been nice to see it this year instead of having Simmonds, our top goal scorer do it. I give credit to a kid like Manning, He's not very good at it but at least he showed up.

In the case of Prout, it was a matter of who is on the ice. You know he's gone the minute the whistle blew. Same with Weise. He was gone the second he made that hit. If you want to make them fight for those incidents someone on the ice has to do it. |

Get some more kids in the lineup please, starting tomorrow night. At the very least Vecchione should be in, as should Cousins if he is healthy. Also, because I think this game has a good chance of turning ugly, I'd strongly suggest bringing up Morin. - BiggE
Agreed.
Hell, bring up the Ghoul (no, but really, don't.). |

Its a shame Wiese didn't show that this year. I honestly thought that his signing was to help address this teams lack in that department. - landros 2

Allentown to Newark to Allentown isn't a tough trip to play back to backs. |

Agree. But the kids aren't coming up. If they had to call a dman up it would be one of the vet dmen they have. |

That's Brantt Myhres, sir.
I'm sure he's up to whatever Daniel Lacroix and Scott Daniels have been doing for the past 15-20 years. |

If they want someone to play, it's unlikely to be Alt or Brennan. Those are the only healthy veteran dmen. |

Yeah, a bit more obscure than the likes of Antoski and Crowe. I liked Myhres, dude wasn't the best but damn he racked up a poopload of PIM.
