WRONG!

the prudent thing to do is to utilize this time to find out what you have within your organization.

You don't waste the last few games on players who arent apart of the future.

You keep doing what you do, its cute.

The tone you take in your replies in interesting to say the least. If you need to play a player a few NHL games to know what you've got, as if that was actually enough of a sample to fully evaluate a player if you didn't know what you have, then the people you have doing your talent evaluations aren't very good. It's interesting that the Flyers Director of Player development, Kjell Samuelsson stated that Robert Haag is NHL ready. How does he know that if he's not played in the NHL? This idea that they have to see a player in the NHL to know what they have is what is cute. Nick Schultz deserves to play the remaining games.

And furthermore, you absolutely call up your 6'7, 227 monster if you think the game is going to get ugly. I guarantee you, Morin will be more than happy to drop em if anyone takes a run at any Flyer. He's been doing it all year in LHV.

I mean c'mon, get real. Like having to fill the role of enforcer is for ONE GAME is going to set back his development. Yeah...right....

Whose going to be the guy to test him? Hope it's an idiot like Coleman or palmieri.

A veteran dman on his way out doesn't "deserve" to play in games after the team has been eliminated from playoff contention when they can be used to get experience for prospects.
- Feanor

I disagree. He does deserve to play the remaining games for how he conducted himself as a player here. This could be the end of his career. These few games of experience that they could get aren't a big deal, and aren't neccessary.

So who "deserves" to sit now that Morin has been called up?

It's unfair to the player to put him in that position. It also risks injury. Bring him up to play hockey, and play the position, not because you want a tough guy in the lineup.

A veteran is going to sit out tonight. Who should it be?

How do you know it's not for both? Maybe they view him as the most nhl ready.

I don't know who is going to sit, and that's not my call. I don't think any of them deserve to sit at this point.

If they're calling him up because they need a player, and they feel he has earned the call up on merit, then I'm fine with it. If they're calling him up to fill an enforcer role, then I'm not fine with it.

Exactly. I think they have no doubts than he can play at the NHL level or they wouldn't have called him up. I just think he got the nod over Hagg because of the physical element he brings.

If he dissuades someone from running at Ghost or Provy and/or beats the living crap out of some Devil, that's just an awesome, extra bonus.

In the same way that what you think about Hakstol's decisions keeps him up at night?
