Isnt the NHL great?
Best games to watch are blacked out even if you paid for NHL gamecenter.

- seedy

Going to have to hope for good streams. Last year a lot of people were streaming on youtube but I think they started cracking down on that towards the end

Did you not? WTF have you been female doging about for the last 2 years then? "I watched all these players and I want to see them in a Sabres jersey. Now they're not, so I'm going to be passive aggressive about it."

Telling people to not watch is unnecessary and stupid. We obviously all have a passion for the team. Nobody's going to stop watching their favorite team.

Then don't troll about it is all I'm saying.

Obviously not saying you do.

I don't think broads was trolling though. He takes a lot of heat because people don't want to hear what he has to say, but to be honest I agree with him most of the time.

There's quite a difference between thinking I was "owed" watching them in a Sabres uniform and pointing out the fact that we still suck without them.

My point has always been that these guys will start to become good NHL'ers. All while we still suck

For me it's more the value at the time we wasted. Sure almost everything we gave up to Winnipeg is meh right now, but at the time that was a gold mine. O'Reilly deal is okay, but I don't like the contract necessarily or that he's the "leader". And we overpaid for Lehner any way you slice it, which sucks, but at least he's an average starting goalie and not worse.

Come on, that's a total troll.

"Joel Armia leads the NHL in short handed goals. Where is the Jets PK?"

That was a failed one.

"Joel Armia is studly."

and 2 things about JT Compher in the past few days is blatant trolling.

Basically, the jist of the story is that I like Armia, and was told a bunch of times he was a total bust for about a year after the trade, so now when he's actually become a pretty decent hockey player, and found a niche, the people who yelled the loudest that he was an AHL'er, now get angry. Instead of just ignoring it like a normal person would

In my time as being a fan, this has got to be an all time low. One or both teams were playoff caliber in the 90's. When Sabres were bad in early 2000's, nobody would imagine the drought would be this long for the Bills. Despite a couple one off playoff appearances by the Sabres, both teams have been terrible for the last 10 years and to me feels like no sign of it turning around. Now it's starting to look like Toronto is turning into the Patriots of the division with the coach we thought was going to make the Sabres the Patriots. And it is hard to argue that Eichel is on par with Matthews. That wiener is going to score 40 effin goals as a rookie and he'll probably do it tomorrow night. They'll have to pan to Babs or maybe Shanny after he does it so we can see the smug look on their douche bag faces to really rub it in. Welcome to paradise.

It's frustrating. I'm 29 years old. I have very few memories of meaningful games. And I'm a die hard.

The amazing part is the lack of luck this city has

Yup. Never quite ready for prime time. Even when the Bills were great, you got your heart absolutely crushed after the first super bowl and then embarrassed in the next 3.

Because some of us spent hours of our lives watching these players with hopes to see them someday in a Sabre jersey, all so that this GM could come in, say it won't take long to build a winner, trade most of them away, then sit here 2 years later still an awful franchise. That's why
- sbroads24

If you spend hours of your life watching prospects, then you must know there's a chance you'll never see the player in a Sabres uniform because either they're not good enough or they're traded away.

Both of those happen all the time.

You post about it so much that it almost seems like you do it just to pile on.

I like San Jose and Anaheim but I usually can't watch their games until playoff time. (which I just realized I won't be able to do this year because I don't get NBCSN. (frank) me lol)
- chilliard77

I have a very difficult time watching the Ducks or Kings due to the styles they play.

And I could literally care less about the Leafs no matter how exciting they may be.

All of them or just the ones that at least have a pulse?

I'm talking about guys like Grigorenko and Brendand Lemiuex (spelling).

By the sounds of it, you enjoy watching prospects develop the most, so maybe that would bring you more enjoyment overall then worrying about what team they ultimately end up on?

I really think most of you should stop giving advice on what I might enjoy.

If you don't care about Compher, ignore the post.

I mentioned that Nuevirth collapsed on the ice, is that some form of piling on? Or maybe that he's a former Sabre I figured some might be interested

Maybe I'm the minority but most, if not all, of the reason we were fans of those guys was because they were drafted by Buffalo and might be Sabres.

For me, as soon as they're traded, I have very little concern with what they do from that point forward.

They're no longer potential Sabres, so my focus is no longer on them.

I try my best not to lament the past at all.
