AHL in general is a gritty league and nylander falls on the opposite end of the scale. I wonder if its like the playmaker who cant really pile up the assists in the ahl because no matter how many great passes he makes, the guy on the other end of them is a 29 year old career minor leaguer with brick hands? Im not saying thats Nylanders situation but perhaps thats what forsberg is getting at. That its hard to really see a scoring wingers talents on display when they cant get him the puck in scoring situations?
- Sabresfan-365

Correct. Forsberg believes that with Nyalnder's style of play in the AHL is a difficult league for him to show case his talents and he's better suited in the NHL then the AHL. What is holding him back now from getting the call up is his strength, needs to get stronger, and they all know it. He's a tweener right now.

Forsberg also said they were disappointed in Nylander in the WC in the more important games but are really pleased with Asplund. In just one year his development is going at higher pace than expected.

If you're working out then do what you do. I can understand wanting to have flexibility and something that breathes.

At the same point, if you ever go to some public event and wear them because "I'll be walking all day", you've gone too far.

Mikkel Boedker is having a terrible year. I wonder if we could trade Ennis for him. Change of scenery type deal

regardless of who's moved up front in the off season, id like to see him in the AHL next year at least through the world juniors. with his talent and what they want from him, youd like his call up to be his first and last if you get what i mean.

save 600k but take on an extra year. Feel like if anything we should be looking for the reverse of that.

Beggars can't be choosers though. He's younger, has more talent (presumably) and he's fast. Might look good with Eichel

Agreed. If Nylander needs an off season to build up his strength and then let's see how he does in the AHL next year. I think they realize he needs a faster path in his development but it sounds like Asplund might have surpassed him.

Nylander needs to beef up just like Reinhart did, but to show his talent he needs a real center. Guys like Eric Cornel just aren't going to cut it. Nylander is just skating around in circles out there while the opposition always has the puck because he's not big enough or defensively sound enough yet to take it away, and his center SUCK!!!

There is no room for optimism on the Sabres thread! Burn it all down!

Regarding Nylander, I agree that it would be awesome if they bring him up for the Leafs game.

So it seems the consensus is that Nylander will be fine. If we can only get one legitimate top6 forward out of him, Bailey, Baptiste, or Fasching we could see a big turn around next year. I think we will do what Toronto did this year.

Forsberg, that Euro scout, suggested that his game translates better to the pros vs the AHL...not really sure how that is supposed to be. At the same point, we need to gauge if he's a summer or a couple years off. That would probably be the determining factor in what to do with Evander.
- RhinoFan

The AHL is less skill, more physical. He's the opposite of that.

Late.

Ennis is pretty talented overall, think boedker is just faster. And in his case its still likely that you can find away to move his deal for cap space. Should be there first choice since i dont think they'd be able to move moulson or bogo without taking something back or retaining salary(celery)

This is awesome. I don't know if it's actually what it looks like, but it would be awesome if it was. Also, maybe don't clap like a moron behind one of the most dangerous snakes in the world while a guy has his face about 3 feet from it.

My biggest problem with that game, whoever creates the preset sliders for that game should be fired.

if you're really into it and are okay with spending some time playing with them you can actually turn into a really good game.
