But what does that make Bogosian? The drunk guy passed out in the bathroom?

You don't pass out from doing blow. Well, maybe your heart explodes or you have a massive brain hemorrhage, but you don't pass out.

Nonsense! Murray is the head of the team, he should have the head of rink maintenance on speed dial asking about loose bench doors, hell, he should just check all the hinges/latches on all the doors with rink access just to make sure we don't get another Schoenfeld situation where they go through the Zamboni doors.

- Wetbandit1

In all honesty. it's 2017. There's no reason for the NHL to not figure out how to install doors that close themselves instead of using the same bench door that was invented in 1922.
But, im agreeing with you.
Hockey is the "greatest game on earth..."

Oh, ok, it was Sergei. I forgot which one, but the point is they were both suspended for a playoff game, in a series they ultimately lost, because they broke a team rule.

He's the backup drummer. In case the good drummer spontaneously combusts....as they often do.

That was just terrible, and it happened a couple of times before that in the preseason too. That's what makes it so much worse. If it broke on that hit that's one thing, they do break, but they knew it was broken and either had someone incompetent "fix" it, or they didn't bother. Or the ice is literally tilted because that end of the arena is sinking and none of the doors latch anymore because they're out of plum, or the first thing, probably the first thing.

I dont know if you ever played, but those bench doors and the latches are out of the stone age and I cant imagine the ones in a pro rink are that much better. But they should be a lot better. its a stupid way to get injured and considering how much money there is in the league, they should figure out how to make sure it stops happening. Much like curving the glass at the end of the bench.

Yeah, most are just simple gate latches. When they latch they're strong, the problem is that they often don't. The ones at the Epic Center(a local multi-sport complex) were from a walk-in cooler, and they were misaligned and the one almost never fully latched, you had to yank up on it. It was a total afterthought.

Broke 3 ribs playing at Depew, courtesy of a good check and an open door. Latch caught me right in the chest. I thought it went into my chest cavity at the time. They added pull strings on the latches the following season...wouldn't have saved me.

Does it take a Pacioretty to get real changes? Probably does.

Ouch.

Yeah, very likely it will. Hell, smashing a guy's tailbone, so he missed most of the season and was ineffective to downright awful for the rest wasn't enough.

Although I do have to say he's been playing better the last week or so. He had that 2 point game against the Leafs. Maybe he's finally getting over the injury, or maybe it's an anomaly, I don't know.

They don't like it when they do that at all, they want their skates on the ice. Plus, injured players need a way to get off the ice.

I was being humble. I congratulated you.

It's funny I have all this bullpoop bouncing around in my brain, but I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday. Actually, that's probably why. It's crammed with all this useless info.
