Never. Play to win and dress the best roster always. Our lack of depth will ultimately provide a high pick. - CanuckDon

yes, as long as vets are signed to short term deals. the kids that are ready should play in the NHL and the kids that aren't should be in Utica - CanuckDon
There are really only 2 kids now. Boeser and Goldobin. I'd say Boeser in some more sheltered minutes could play. Goldy needs TG tough love.
Chaput, Megna, Shore replaced with guys that have actual NHL experience. |

Hi Carol, I also don't think that Green is the best candidate going forward, Willie should be here until the Sedins are retired, or at least one more year.
I read that Green should be credited with keeping his team competitive with all the call ups, then on the same level Willie should be credited with having to ice and coach AHL poor talent. |

My point was that it takes time. Just like you cant judge a GM in the first 2 years, I dont think you can properly assess a coach's impact until they have been given enough time to establish themselves (with the exception of losing a room entirely). In no way should a team go through as many coaches as some franchises do and properly assess the situation.
Kreuger to Eakins is an example of thinking something better has come along and it backfiring. How could they possibly know in 48 games what impact he had before firing him? - WhiteLie
I think you are right about krueger, 48 games wasnt enough evaluation time. Very valid.
another point about krueger is he had a slow start to the WCOH but gained steam and finished strong. |

sure...that kid sounds great and is a leading candidate for first overall but so were Kylington and Chychrun....D is so hard to predict. Perhaps he is just maturing faster than his peers. He does look great though. And Bob Mackenzie....there is no way he has seen him other than at the WJC |

neither should be here.
Find a good nhl coach, let him set up shop here teaching the players his systems and rebuild in the meantime while players adapt. |

So that leaves 1 top 9 spot available and auditions for 4th line. Except Dorsett and Gaunce look to have an edge if healthy and not taken by LV. |

It doesn't really matter...proper development of the kids has to be the priority now. Whether that's in Utica or Van. I just have a feeling Boeser is to good for the AHL. |
