I still can't figure out what Doughty did that he has to "man up" for. Is this all because he called Tkachuk a dirty player? Is the kid really that sensitive?

Also, Tkachuk IS A DIRTY PLAYER. I don't know how much you saw of him before this season but this is a pattern that goes back far longer than just this year. He's an excellent player and he's got the skill to be a superstar but he's had a dirty streak in his game for a long time.

Its called earning respect, Look at Malkin when he squared up with Little for the hit to the head. Little wanted to fight him for revenge and Malkin stayed classy and gave him what he wanted. The open ice hit ended up looking much worse than it would have been if he just would have stayed on his feet.

Yes he did, and it inspired us to a 4-1 win. Frankly, Kings have been pretty flat a lot of the year and it was nice to see some emotion.

Doughty isn't a fighter. I don't know why anyone would expect him to fight. When has anyone ever been expected to fight for being on the receiving end of an elbow?

Doughty violated the unwritten code of the NHL by whining to the media after the loss. He made a story out of something fairly minor and could very well have forced the NHL's hand in dealing out the 2 game suspension.

If Doughty and the kings had a problem with the hit it should have been settled last night, quietly. He shouldn't have female doged and moaned to the media and I think he knows that.

I think we are justified in calling Doughty a bit of a puss. People are acting like the guy plays like Lidstrom or Karlsson. Doughty runs his mouth every game, he hacks guys in the corner, cross checks guys in front of the net, throws big hits when he has the chance and even crosses the line from time to time.

Guys like that are supposed to settle their own battles. You don't see Mark Giordano (who plays a similar style game) getting Ferland or Engelland to settle his battles. If he has a problem he deals with it himself.

If he wouldn't have went to the media then I don't think anyone would have a problem with him not fighting.

Tkachuk said he expected more from Doughty He basically pulled the ultimate parent card "I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed".
