Their contracts actually end after the regular season, they don't get paid during the playoffs. But I'm certain it's June 1st or 15th.....at the airport so I'm not gonna look it up.

A UFA remains property of the team until July 1st. If Vegas wanted they could talk to Miller about re-signing before the draft and that would use up their pick from Vancouvers exposed players. If they wait until July 1st(or pay us for early discussion rights) then they can still choose a player AND sign Miller prior to July 1st.

He is not. It was NOT based on who qualifies for Vegas minimal qualifications which you went too. LeftyFU challenged whether Vegas can take Miller in the expansion draft. Vegas can pick ANYONE not Protected or Exempt and are NOT limited to the minimal exposure list of one goalie, 2 forwards and a defender. They have a pre draft negotiating period for UFA's and can sign them. Thus counting as their pick from that team for expansion. Got that RealityFU.

So what you're saying is that ONLY Vegas can approach Miller?

I think this is correct. If Miller chooses to sign with Vegas prior to the expansion draft then the rest of our roster isn't exposed. But NUCK4U is wrong as they can't select a pending UFA.

My post was about players. Not the expansion draft. I only said in one part that IF Vegas goes for BPA then Miller is it. Miller is AVAILABLE to be talked to and signed by Vegas by their expansion draft. If they do, then he counts as their pick off Canucks roster for the expansion draft.

Talking about selections and qualifications and exposure is off topic. It's not what I was saying and thus you were mislead by Lefty not understanding the process and end result.

Interesting point. I always was suspicious that you were an ancient Chinese man. Did you know when settlers first moved to Canada they would mate with the fattest women possible as they could withstand the cold, harsh Canadian winters? It's also a great way to rationalize sleeping with fatties
