Canucks passed on Nylander and Ehlers because they needed a power forward then passed up on Tkachuk because they needed more skill then pas

.. sorry I must've just had a stroke there because there's no way someone is actually drafting 18 year olds based on current team needs

Always just take the best players available and let everything else fall into place. Who knows how the landscape will change over time.

- LeftCoaster

what the (frank) does that nerd know? He can have Tkachuk and Ehlers. I'll trust the professionals and take Jake and Olli all day.

thats probably correct. Luckily our need is Center, so this draft is perfect for us to draft for need AND still be BPA

ELC slides. No fastrak.
Even thinking for a moment Sakic tells a prospect team business of who stays or goes is coming out of left field. That discussion never happened.

- Nighthawk

Not sure of the details just was going off cap friendly that had the following:

Jost, Tyson 19 C $925,000 RFA (2019)

Yes sheer speculation of what may have been discussed. Just based it off the publicly talked about Dutch was up for trade talk.

Not going to pile on you, but maybe you should take the advice from others. If one or two don't like you who cares.

When its 15 -20 saying the same thing you may want to check into that.

I know its a ghost town in here at night and for me it has to do with the quality of posting.

Do what you want with the advice

- VANTEL

He's been given advice for months now and I don't think he cares, he's just something we have to put up with and if the thread goes dead for hours it is what it is.

Needs change anyway, some players you were counting on end up busting, then you have late bloomers, or late round picks that surprise. So it's not even a black and white situation.

Who would have thought that Tryamkin would contribute more for the Canucks so far than McCann and Virtanen back when they were all drafted? No one.

It's fluid.

You don't give advice. You troll. So stop taking the high ground. Plus the thread didn't go dead. Another flagrant lie. I'm done. Just talking hockey. You can have at it.

Sounds like an idiot.

1) He was against those picks since day one meaning he was crying and whining like a chicken little.

or

2) He's captain hindsight

So really, he's stupid anyway you break it down.

It is correct, always take the BPA....I just thought it was funny he's calling out Benning publicly. I thought he was trying to get a job with them.

True. Hard to say who BPA is among differing options. Hasn't that term watered down?

Waiting for that exhibition game to reach NZ.

I am not steering anything. I don't troll the thread. Maybe go with part of your former statement and just accept me instead of knock me. I can be friendly and listen. Okay?

I never see him trolling anyone actually.

I think if people treated him like just another poster and not mistreat him every single day I think we'd see a difference in the things he chooses to say. It seems like he wants to discuss hockey but yet he gets heckled daily.

Not singling anyone out or anything just saying I think the approach many take with him isnt going to work, only producing even more conflict.

I don't like seeing people pile on, but dude is tone deaf.
Many people have given him a break and tried to engage (myself included), but he makes it tough.

sometimes its best to let things be.
I hear what youre saying, but Meeting conflict with more conflict isnt a good plan.
