Barring trades in the off season this is what the Nucks have to work with for 2017. If Vegas goes for BPA for expansion draft then Miller is it.

7 Forwards guaranteed spots for 2017 opening roster:
Sedins, LE, Bo, Sven, Granlund, Sutter

NHL playing/signed: BB, Goldy, JV, Molin & DD if not IR. Others of note are RFA/UFA.

Choices on All 5 starting and 1 or 2 backup spots could concentrate on either:
Speed, skill, shooting, defence, grit, hitting, fighting.

7 D are seen as regulars:
Edler, Tanev, Guddy, Hutton, Sbisa, Tree, Stecher

Likely contenders for possubley 1 backup/rotating spot:
OJ, Biega, Pedan, Subban.

Their contracts actually end after the regular season, they don't get paid during the playoffs. But I'm certain it's June 1st or 15th.....at the airport so I'm not gonna look it up.
