Easy there Ty, Risk stepped up big?
I would say Nashville's goal was a softy. Luckily it didn't cost the game or a reason for a late game push by the Preds. - icecop44
Ty has an inability when it comes to Risk......he can't be critical........ no matter what.
He sees 26.5 shots per game.
Most are from outside of the homeplate danger area.
Need to tie HIS neck to the crossbar to keep him from dropping and getting beat over his shoulders.
Untimely goals are a thing believe it or not..........he's the worst when the moment is the most important. First 5 minutes and last 5 minutes are imperative and he historically sheets the bed in that category.
Even when he's close to a SO he can find a way to screw it up in the last 5.
He was a beneficiary of a strong D group playing in front of him.
Once that got gutted he hasn't been the same.
We beat this to death in the summer.
I'd be happy to see him dealt in the off season.
Butterfly goalie with butterflies before important games.
We can do without him.
Edit: With that said I hope the fugly ucker makes me eat my words. |

Pretty sure that Tuukka's been playing hurt all year... and it's not exactly like he has great defensive help in front of him. The dudes a stud... just overworked and injured. There are definitely fair questions to be had for his compete level/desire to play in big games though... won't argue that one.
Reilly Smith "only" has 14 goals? And he "only" has 20 assists. So that's "only" 29pts more than Hayes this year, or basically 7x the production. Bruins got absolutely hosed on that deal. If they could have Smith on their 2nd/3rd line right now over Hayes they're probably firmly in a playoff spot. I'm praying that the hockey gods send him to Vegas. It's impossible not to talk about him, he doesn't contribute anything out there.
Nash is just a flash in the pan. I wouldn't count on him for scoring support. Marchand will get it back... How about that Pastrnak spin move? |

Softy?!? That puck was deflected like a foot in front of him and changed position by like 4 feet. - mixturebill
Correct!
Poor positioning by Risk.
Shoulda had that one. |

I don't think you guys understand the meaning of "softy."
He made 24 out of 25 saves. I'm not going to fault him on one single play where the defense lets a guy walk right in front of the net and a puck gets deflected like that. He was in position... the defense wasn't... and the puck had eyes. If you think that's on Tuukka, I don't know what to tell you. |

That Pasta spin move actually made me stand up and cheer though.
Just wish he would of buried it.
He's so confident with the puck. |

Sweeney is licking his lips. Gonna trade him for picks and bottom 6 players. |

He looks great man...
I'm still saying he's going to get to 50 goals (not this season anymore, but he'll get there). I wanted to break him up and put him with Krejci earlier in the season because they were just too top heavy at the beginning of the year. Now I feel like he should be on the top line getting top line minutes because he's just so damn good. Haha... that's how it goes I guess. |

Going to a bigger bust than Seguin and Thornton combined. |

Are you kidding me???
A shoulder high tip, straight down, from point blank is a softy? Wow
I am not a Rask apologist, or Raskologist, but that one was not on him. |

And wheeler.
Lets trade him for Brian Gionta, Tyler ennis and a 4th. Sounds right up Sweeney's alley. |

I don't buy into this. He was (frank)ing horrible when he was here.
This also was a very common occurrence with him:

The guy produces. Wasnt as good in boston, but he still paced for around the 40 point mark which is more than you can say about many of the guys that have come and gone. I just get sick of them shipping young players out for veterans.
I dont dog the wheeler trade too much, it helped us win a cup. But it sure would be nice to have wheeler in his current state, offside calls and all. |

Thats what I focus on. Peverly helped them win. At this rate might be another 40 years before another cup. WORTH IT. |

I would also argue watching his team win without him made him step his game up. He might not be the player he is now without that. |

agreed. he had a lot of Ryan Spooner in him when he was in Boston. although if spooner ever gets traded (*hopes*) out of Boston i doubt he ever "gets" it somewhere else. |

Same. I'm done with Spooner. This team needs another center like Dougie needs another beer. Rather he is moved out the way for a better option, potentially either JF-K, Heinen, or 4,000 other centers in the farm.
Losing Spooner will not hurt this team. |

So if McAvoy ends up playing with the Bruins this year.... who do you think comes out of the lineup? My guess is they would just automatically sit Colin Miller. I would prefer to see McQuaid take a seat. I'm not hating on McQuaid... he's a fine bottom pairing guy, but I think with Chara/Carlo/Miller, that's enough defensive defenseman in the lineup.
I wouldn't mind seeing them trying to slide Carlo down to play with Krug on the second pairing.... maybe Colin Miller with Chara? Or McAvoy? Not sure he would be ready to go on the top pairing right out of the gate though. Maybe leaving Carlo on the top pairing makes sense. |

I don't think we see him in Boston at all this year. |
