I feel as if sometimes fancy stats are everything that a regular joe can't see while watching a hockey game.

How bout Rowe turning FLA into an absolute train wreck!!
- LordHumungous

They said Tallon would be responsible for all hockey decisions, and he throws out comments like that? He's still a lame duck, Vancouver should snag him.

haha I know, I was being sarcastic. Its very re-assuring hearing more positives on what could be a true first line winger of our future.
- Codes1087

Boeser is the only prospect we have that I am not worried about...he is more intelligent and driven than the rest of them combined. I'd be shocked if he isn't a stud for a long time

don't tell that to Florida. They are all about the analytics and fancy stats and look at how well that organization as a whole is doing
- Codes1087

I find it a bit funny because i mean they take these stats from the game, you would have to watch the game to get these stats.

Samples sizes my friend.... look at their stats in Utica last year. Bachman is a plug playing above his abilities

haha no of course. I just don't really like Markstrom and like what Bachman brings. Nearly impossible to truly compare the two based on games played/numbers

Sorry I also flagged myself as it generally takes 3 or 4 flags before Makita jumps into action

I want to run with Markstrom next year as I don't think we have anything to lose. ie. we will suck either way. He was brilliant not to long ago and I think we should give him a real opportunity to be the starter and not keep him in Miller's shadow. If he busts? Oh well, better draft pick. That being said I do want a decent vet around to play 30 games.

Just use reverse psychology and Makita will bite every time.

Or a political post.

Yes. No need to have Miller back here for two more years on a big contract to let in 4 GPG. He has been good this year yes but we can literally get that out of Marky next year if he gets that starts and seasoning. I'm hoping Miler just chooses not to resign here as I think he feels he is above us now.

Like Bachman? lol He has a career winning record you know. 20-15 on less then stellar teams. Maybe he is like Cgy's Chad Johnson from this year.

The only problem i have with Miller this yearis the gadget he's been to good. If he'd have played average throughout the year we'd be contending with Colorado for top spot in the 'meh lottery '.

Can Benning fire Willie curbside in Buffalo? Or a more dangerous City like Chicago
- CanuckDon

Willie's a " real good guy " I'm sure he could diffuse any sort of dangerous situation out on the mean streets

I watched the Niagra vs Peterborourgh game. Zach Gallant did impress me. He looks like Brendan Gaunce but a much better skater, with a better shot.

Let him run with it. Unlike the prospects, Markstrom is too old to be 'ruined'; its now or never for him to be a starter so let him start 50 games. There is really no downside to this. I'd be fine with Bachman being the backup, as long as it clears the logjam in the goalie pipeline

Maybe he is a plug playing above his pay grade.....but isn't it better to reward that player for his excellent performance then it is to keep throwing top minutes and pp time to players who clearly aren't earning it ?
