What do you think the post Sedin leadership group will look like?

lol I am just saying. Can't label ALL waiver pickups as trash. You can eventually find a decent one, or get value from them. It's not often, but it happens.

I feel as if Byron affirms what IMAC was saying that Vets over kids still.

This fan base loves its waiver scraps something fierce.
- Marwood

Yes sir they sure do.
I am surprised that this guy hasn't caught on to the responsibility without the puck. He was in 2 different systems this season that are well known to be defense oriented, New Jersey and Nashville & waived 3 times.
So much for defense can be taught.

defensively I think he has been fine. He generates shots, which is something only a few players do on this team. The problem is, we really only have one capable line right now, and the rest of the forwards are just awful (that are currently playing).

ok, let me re-phrase that.

FINE = up to pay with the other forwards as far as being defensive lol. He certainly doesn't stand out to me as being any WORSE than all of the AHL forwards we currently have playing.

He lacks foot speed. His defence wasn't bad when I saw him play in Wpg. It just seems to be when it is real bad the other team doesn't mind scoring.

Goldy is kind of the same except he has foot speed. Needs a bit more grit to his game.

The rest of this year is just auditions .I wouldn't get too involved with Boucher .We have signed 3-4 players that will be all probably trying out for one or two spots.

I imagine Boucher will be battling against Gaunce Labate Dorsett JV MacEwen Goldobin Biega Milano Chaput Megna Skille and this years draft class for a spot on the roster next year

just busting your chops a bit. I agree has hasnt been stand out as terrible but he is very sluggish, gets caught watching/drifting and definitely does not have the footspeed to recover.

I really think his skating style makes him appear worse than he is

Boucher is on pace to average 23 goals in 82 games as a Canuck at around 11 minutes a night average ice time. But hey, who cares.

- Codes1087

that's what I was thinking... the guy would be one of our top scorers if he played a full season... and just dump him?? doesn't make sense to me...

Daniel Sedin (Sedins in general) should be the last ones giving guys poop for their defensive play. They were on the ice for the goal against in the first 30 seconds and are AWFUL defensively though.

You are right.
I posted a line up for next season that was loaded with as many physical players as I could think of into our line up and sent some to minors and to who cares land and then got challenged for my tongue-in-cheek lineup.
I had to defend my BS.
When we 1st picked up Boucher I was hoping for the kid to be a somewhat decent 2-way player. No luck.

by the time next season is upon us it will likely be a very different looking list.
We'll just sit tight and see what we have come that time

Dont know why everyones in such a rush to make lineups with people who may not even be here by then. 2 losing seasons in a row, changes are bound to be made
