Agreed. Then when AA is back slide Kero down to take Rasmussen's spot and Rasmussen to the press box to keep Desjardins and Tootoo company. - EbonyRaptor
I'd sit Hayden or Jurco and play Rasmussen. |

Given all the team's own prospects that Stan just signed there isn't too much room for any college free agents. |

I would seriously hate to see Corey go, although given the cap situation it is something I am fully expecting. For me, from a fan perspective, losing Crawford will be the biggest loss (next to Frolik of course).
Crawford is better than Darling, but Darling is a serviceable replacement. - DarthKane
No doubt.
But, I look at it from this perspective... the trend the last few years in the league is to really overpay/over-trade for goaltending.
If Crow does get dealt, I have to believe the Hawks get some nice pieces back and/or cap relief. |

Going to really see what the kids bring to the table against another team full of speedy kids. - pdx2ord
Penguins are too beat up and injury depleted right now to take anything away from this game. |

Agreed completely. FWIW, I also felt this way when they let Niemi go to SJ via offer sheet and brought in Crow. Keep the defense stout and Darling should be able to fill the void but get him a solid backup. |

He gets the bonus if he hits one of these top 10 in the league cats? - FeartheFeathers
Panarin also hits his schedule B bonuses if he is named to one of the end of the year All-Star teams. Marchand will likely be name LW of the first team, but the second LW spot will likely come down to Ovechkin, Benn, and Panarin. |

I feel like either Crow or Seabs might go this summer--due entirely to their contracts. |

Can a player waive the NMC/NTC to be part of the expansion draft? |

Good question.
I don't get how the Expansion Draft really works.
The only thing I remember from the 90s with the Panthers one was that the new team can poach whoever isn't protected.
But there has to be something that goes back the other way to the team who loses a guy(s), right?
I mean, teams can't leave guy unprotected to get scooped up for nothing, right? |

Nowadays? Probably 30-35, although some may argue a bit younger.
I think there would be a decent market for Crawford, there are a few teams that will be in desperate need of goaltending. I know we look to the Schneider deal as a frame of reference for a potential Crawford deal, but given his age I wouldn't expect a top 10 pick. Maybe a 15 - 20th pick or a solid prospect.
If he's moved I would suspect Stan will do his best to trade Crawford to the East. But Winnipeg has the assets (and the need for goaltending) to put together a solid package for Crawford. - DarthKane
Agree.
The Cap could influence his value. The higher the Cap the more value.
Crow's play in the playoffs will be a big factor also.
Give the option would you rather move Seabs or Crow if the return is the same? I would probably move Crow because you have more depth at goalie than right side defenders.
Knowing I had to move either Seabs or Crow, I would take any 1st round pick for either. Because you are not trading them for a 1st round pick. You are trading them for a 1st round pick and cap space.
If I could move them both for a decent return I would. That would keep us out of cap hell a little longer and it would give us some spending money for a right side defender and a back up goalie and be able to retain Panik and Kempny. |

It could happen in a deal at the expansion draft, but I doubt Crow would agree unless Vegas had a deal lined up to flip him to a team of Corey's choice.
