Hawk magic number is 6 for western conference home ice. Combination of hawks points or Wild missed points. 5 against Ducks. |

New drinking game: whenever there's a review, leisurely sip 3 whole beers, then go to the store and get some more. Still leaves time for a bathroom break. - kinigitt

EK reporting he has sources telling him Crow could be available in the summer via trade of Expansion Draft.
I don't buy/understand the Expansion Draft theory. |

This just confirms that Crawford will be Blackhawk for life. |

I would seriously hate to see Corey go, although given the cap situation it is something I am fully expecting. For me, from a fan perspective, losing Crawford will be the biggest loss (next to Frolik of course).
Crawford is better than Darling, but Darling is a serviceable replacement. |

Without Anisimov, this is probably our best lineup:

Despite the collapse in Tampa, Jurco showed the urgency and compete level he needs to show every shift. He has the skill, but does he have the will? |

Well, if you can't get up for a game against the SC Champs, when can you? Should be a good indicator tonight, if Q gives him enough leash. |

Nowadays? Probably 30-35, although some may argue a bit younger.
I think there would be a decent market for Crawford, there are a few teams that will be in desperate need of goaltending. I know we look to the Schneider deal as a frame of reference for a potential Crawford deal, but given his age I wouldn't expect a top 10 pick. Maybe a 15 - 20th pick or a solid prospect.
If he's moved I would suspect Stan will do his best to trade Crawford to the East. But Winnipeg has the assets (and the need for goaltending) to put together a solid package for Crawford. |

Thanks - was wondering since I had heard that it usually takes goalies longer to get to their "prime" than skaters. |

I know the league seems to be getting younger, mostly due to the salary cap. But that doesn't appear to have impacted the goalie situation as there are several 30+ quality net minders still in the mix. |

Philadelphia is another team to watch on the goalie market, and they have defensive prospects who might be very interesting... |

This is going to sound like I'm joking around, but I'm not.
Have you guys noticed Hayden is constantly fidgeting with his helmet when he's on the ice? I think it needs to be adjusted or something. Seems every shift he's trying to fix it mid-stride and during plays. - Hank3Henshaw
I know I'm late to the game on this topic after it has been addressed by other posters, but I actually thought I was the only one noticing Hayden fidgeting with his helmet too much. Glad to know others picked up on it.
I agree with you that a second it takes to readjust a helmet is enough time to take you away from a critical play or at least be a step behind the rest of the play. A good example is why most players tape up their legs to keep shin guards from shifting around so much during a game. I remember starting a game once without sock tape and spent the entire first period readjusting my shin guards on the fly. I play defense so I would do it whenever my teammates were transitioning to offense, but still, readjusting any piece of equipment while on the ice is a distraction and can be a liability defensively.
When the NHL came out with the new Reebok Edge uniforms, I remember Reebok saying that the new socks were designed to be more tight fitting so players wouldn't need sock tape anymore. That didn't last very long! |

He blamed his hair in the article that Maria posted, but since Seabrook and his magnificent flow can be contained, I'd say the equipment guys just have to find the right fit for him. |

If Crow does leave which I expect because of the cap. I hope we will upgrade the Defense because we are going to need it. Darling is good but is he a legit #1 goalie |

Agreed. Then when AA is back slide Kero down to take Rasmussen's spot and Rasmussen to the press box to keep Desjardins and Tootoo company.

Yes. Have some nice prospects built up as well as their mid first rounder. |
