Totally unrelated, my buddy saw Ladd and Snow together today and snapped a picture. They don't look to chummy.

I think they make that deal if it comes with JT signed long term. He would be the captain with a TON of talent around him.. real coach, real gm, etc.
- niteislander

There is a zero % chance they make that deal.

Oh poopy cock mouth......
According to to ek isles are still going to make playoffs

9. Would prefer not to talk about John Tavares’ future while the Islanders are still chasing playoff participation, but it’s been thrown into the spotlight again. Agent Pat Brisson was in New York last week, meeting with the club, and it led to some pretty intense speculation that there were more discussions about his interest in joining the organization. Newsday’s Arthur Staples reported Brisson was initially approached last summer, but said no. When I asked him on the weekend, Brisson reiterated that will not occur.

i wasn't making an excuse for boychuk. I agree with you. We should be winning more regardless. Im even sick of the Isles being tired excuse as if they only team playing hard every night.

Islanders, Devils and Rangers have to do the least traveling in the league compared to other teams. even Philly is only 1 hr from NYC

- Spartiarti

We do not hear Tampa making excuses about their injuries. They just keep winning. Isles are not the first team to have a long road trip. It's one thing to lose, but to lose because you are winning idiotic decisions by not bringing up Halak earlier and not bringing up Pulock at all is even worse.

Brisson would not be my top choice to be POHO.

But it would be one way to make sure JT signs here

I guess that angle didn't work

Am I the only one that thinks he's a very strange choice? That's the first thing that shot through my mind when I heard he was a candidate . I'd have to assume he would have to stop being an agent if he became POH though no? It would probably be a conflict of interest I'd think?

No offense to JT, but unless Brisson has hockey ops experience somewhere I'm not interested.

Brisson and Garth working together does not get me much confidence. I want someone totally on the outside not connected to any of the players and someone who has some good experience for the position. Start with Tallon and Lombardi and move on from their if you cannot get them.

I'm sure it went into their thinking 7. The thought should be hire the best person and not the one that makes JT the happiest. Reports are JT likes Garth. No way do I want Garth staying because JT might like him.

That was the angle I thought L and M were going for when his name came up.

Seemed like a very strange choice to me too.

He may like Garth but what other GM has he ever dealt with?

They don't sign him and lose JT, it will be devastating to the Franchise imho.

Does not mater if he dealt with no other GM. Does not matter if Garth has been nice to JT. JT has to look at it as Garth has done a terrible job. JT and everyone else with this team cannot look at everyone being family. They are not family. We had enough of that from Wang and look how it turned out. You have to run the team like that Pats. Bill would fire his own mother if he had to.

If that's the case they can both leave. Love JT but if he's the reason why an inept GM keeps his job and furthers the demise of this team then he can go the (frank) wherever he wants and take his poor excuse for a GM with him. There better be a plan B in place when this clown gets fired and potentially we have to trade Tavares. I'm not saying this bcs of what you just posted I'm saying it bcs its a very real possibility and to be honest with you I don't think Tavares should get league maximum money. I know some will disagree but I'll disagree right back just as strongly. He isn't worth it imo.

Mr competitor himself should not want Snow as GM at this point and if he does you would have to question either his intelligence or just how much of a competitor he really is.

If JT is protecting Garth then JT does need to go. I'm only going by Staple's comment regarding JT liking Garth. I really hope Garth is not staying because of this. I really like JT and want to keep him, but no way do I think he should get a blank check and be the highest paid player.
