It make no sense. We will only move like 3 spots and no matter what you are gonna get a good player. Some people have Mittelstadt up at three and others have him at 10.. I think he goes around 5-6. So yeah, like you said, people are all over the place.

At the end of the day its better odds to not only possibly get the #1 but also just a top 3 pick in general. Key word possibly but that would be a great addition to our prospect pool; especially a center. But being a weaker draft, if we somehow got a top 3 pick, I'd be interested in exploring trades to add a player that can help us immediately and in the future. Or even moving back a couple spots to get more assets and snag a guy who we like that will be available like German Rubtsov this past year.

They're all prospects of about the same age who have all spent a lot of time on the Phantoms. You just have an irrational obsession with Laughton.

And Laughton would be ahead of Leier now based on the last three months of AHL play.

firstly I hate Konecny on the 4th line. Really believe Read belongs there. but I do understand Hakstol's leash with him to a degree. He really does still make plays that he needs to understand he cannot do at the NHL level where he got away with it in juniors. I am not talking about stifling his creativity. for instance in the neutral zone surrounded by 3 players he has tried to force a play instead of just chipping it in.

Not saying you, but a lot of fans don't consider both sides of the puck. Coaches look for balance in a lineup. With this roster that's very hard to accomplish. Hakstol moved Voracek back with Giroux. In my opinion, Voracek has been pretty poor away from the puck defensively. I believe he has Read up there for checking purposes to balance the line out. Hakstol could move Weise down to the 4th line and move Konecny up. Konecny is still getting decent ice time, and PP time. It's not this colossal issue that is going to ruin Konecny but this is hockey buzz and everything has to be overblown.

Man with such good coaching and everything else - it's a true wonder this team isn't primed for a cup run.

He's a 19 year old playing his first pro season. I think they have handled him like most 19 year old rookies in their first pro season.

Next year people will complain the usage of Lindblom and probably Sanheim and Morin.

Mac isn't going anywhere unfortunately. Sanheim has 2 years left on his contract, Morin 1 year, and Hagg has 1 year left. Plenty of time to give MDZ a one or two year contract. (I don't want this to happen but I think it's realistic)
