Dead on with the broad question of improper talent utilization and evaluation.

The problem for players like Weal is they have to consistently score to stay in the lineup. One drought is all it takes for coach to put a more defensively responsible player like VdV or PEB in the lineup instead. Coach gotta trust his guys.

We'll see, what they do to the line-up coming out of training camp. Good chance Lindblom will make the roster. Very curious what they do in goal. I really don't want to see MDZ resigned. Schultz is definitely gone, and Manning is a 6th dman.

I would be shocked if MDZ is back. I don't hate the guy but they just don't need him. Maybe, MAYBE, if the somehow got rid of AMac.

I don't think Mason gets more then two years if he re-signs. He's playing well now but he hasn't had much consistency in his play at all these last two years. UFA options aren't that strong this year though so I won't be shocked if he's back.

If they eat close to half AMac's contract, then I think there is a chance he could be dealt. He's not a bad option for a 3rd pair dman at $2.5 million for three years. Much to the chagrin of the fanbase, he is pretty durable.
