I lived in a house with a guy who put his bed up on a platform, and sealed underneath with plexi. Put a python in there. By the time he graduated the damn thing was eating live chickens.

Random but i wonder if filatov gets another shot in the nhl. decent numbers in the K and seems to have gotten a bit bigger.

Edit: on the worst team in the league too

Top 10 pick, almost 20 goals in 57 games...definitely isn't out of the question. Just read an article about him, Dadonov and Kovalchuk all being potential targets for the NHL this off season. Doubt Dadonov goes anywhere at this point, but who knows.

kovalchuk still needs unanimous approval from the BOG to return though right? With how bad NHL free agency has gotten it almost feels to me anyways that this is the more exciting approach.

Good chance it doesnt work out but theres enough there that on a short term low $$ deal you could strike gold. IIRC hes got really good speed too.

This was written last summer, right before he apparently turned it around in the khl.

Bylsma would just ruin him. He wouldn't "activate" him.

if you could sign kovy to the max on a 1 year deal and get nash on the cheap

it would do wonders for this team

you would have to cut the dead weight but

kovy-eichel-baptiste
nash-ror-okposo
kane-reinhart-bailey
foligno-e rod-gionta

that would be a damn good line up and kovy and nash come off the books when jack and sam get paid

but you have to move
girgen
moulson
ennis
and probably bogo to make it happen

Sounds like he learned from his mistakes and now his game is coming back to him. Funny how when some guys get their life in order, their game comes back around as well. Hope we take a flyer on him. I don't really remember watching him but we need our "gold rush". We need to hit on a couple cheap players to put us over the top, targeting the KHL seems shrewd. I like what I hear about Antipin.
