Yeah, that barbershop one was (frank)ing awful... like Hockey meets hypnotoad

And that record of yours against us is just regular season - bring it in the playoffs, female dog!

I'd think you'd almost WANT to fall out of that top spot. I know history is kind to the Habs for both matchups but I'd still much rather the Leafs in RD1 over the Rags.
- markmark

Meh, I still want the team to finish first, leaving Ottawa behind in the dust.

I'm confident about our chances to beat the Rangers anyway.

I'm fine with whoever they meet in the 1st round, NYR or TO.

Speaking of WHL scorers. The WHL "top scorers" have been bigger busts than the Q recently and none have really transcended into a star other than Leon The Professional, who plays with McDavid and away from McDavid is only a good top-6 guy at this point in his career.
- AdamFrench

They haven't transcended into superstars, but Tyler Johnson, Oliver Bjorkstrand and eventually Sam Steel I think are all solid top 6, top liners. Mark Stone too.

As an aside, I've had a lot of Flyer fans in my sim leagues tapping me to trade them Jordan Weal. Is there something happening in Philly with him that I should know about? lol

I was at the Marlies game yesterday and there was one guy on the ice who was obviously playing the game at a different speed than anyone else: Kapanen

The guy can flat out fly and I have no idea how Martin and Boyle are going to keep up with him. He is not really a 4th line type in my view.

Would prefer to see Hyman play on the 4th and put Kapanen with Matthews and Nylander and see what happens.

Not overly confident, just a decent matchup to start the playoffs. Could be much worse for MTL....Columbus

None top picks or top players. Developed yes, but not expected. Nuge, Sven, Nino, Virtanen, Lazar, Bleackley, Shink, Samuelsson etc.

Different levels of success, but none reached at this point what was expected.

Hey you know what, mentioning that name made me think of something. We've been talking a lot about Crosby's slash and debating what/if any punishment. Didn't PK get a game for slashing him??? (A playoff game at that)

Ryan Johansen and Brayden Schenn are probably the best of the bunch. So I get what you were saying. Just thought you meant the actual leading scorers, like Jordan Weal, and the Shinimin kid.

They did that in years 3/4 right? Like Brooks on the Leafs.

Technically so did Bjorkstrand and Rattie. But watching the Hawks, I always had a feeling the Bjorkstrand would make it in the NHL as a scorer. Many of his Blue Jacket teammates say he's definitely a top line winger in the making.

Rattie, I just don't get. He looked in junior like a kid who would be at worst a 2nd line winger in the NHL. Ah well.

Brooks is probably goign to be a big time AHL scorer.

Steel should be something though. Of course he was taken with a Leaf draft pick. That's usually a sign of greatness isn't it?

My theory is that his place of birth is exactly hy he hates Nylander - he is eligible to represent Canada, but chooses Sweden instead. If there's one way to make Donnie unhappy, it's to put anything above Canada.

Steel's a real dangerous player in junior. Dunno what he'll be at the NHL level though.

Disappears pretty quickly in games sometimes.

I honestly feel him and Neilson are another year away. Specially with Babs philosophy of letting the kids earn their stripes in the AHL for a while.

But if Dermott impresses defensively in preseason, then play him.

We need D who are defensively smart as a priority, not just for putting up numbers.

I'm pretty intrigued about Dermott and Nielson.

Got to wonder what their plan is with Valiev. He's got potential to be a safe 5-6 defender. Maybe he goes the other way in a trade.

HOW THE (frank) does Haley only get ONE GAME for that sucker punch, while Polak gets two and Ristolainen gets three for their hits that weren't malicious at all?

Gardiner sucks defensively.

Illustration of this: both Polak as well as Hunwick spend more time in the d-zone than Gardiner.
