Asked Weight if #Isles need another call-up to give them a jolt. "We'll consider everything that's available."
The TooLittleTooLateLanders strike again - eichiefs9
I did see that. No urgency from management or players. Just watching last night, team needs more talent and they need more toughness as well. They have no physical presence at all. |

If he wasn't called up after going 0-6 on the PP against Boston, I doubt they do it now. - NYI44
Oh no, they will. That way they can try to tell everyone that they did it and they exhausted all available resources at the time. |

Putting aside Duchene as that did not seem like it was happening, I still think it was a huge mistake not to make any deals at the deadline. It sends a lousy signal to the players and the fans. Garth needed to come up with something. |

Snow is reactive, not proactive...which is his biggest problem. He just waits and waits and waits and "oh look! a problem!". Then he tries to let it fix itself using internal resources, and then when it's finally redundantly-obvious that it's a huge, glaring issue...he goes out and does what needs to be done. |

I think they'd rather play Seidenberg and Hickey. Even though it is somewhat refreshing to see Hickey scratched from time to time with Doug. He would never have been out with Cappy. |

I don't have an issue with not making a deal at the deadline. There wasn't very much out there and it wasn't worth pissing away a few assets to add someone so we could still get torched by the caps in the first round anyway. Rangers have had the WC1 spot basically locked up for awhile now. |

Yep! Isles cannot get a happy medium GM. Milbury could not wait to make moves and Garth needs to be pushed extremely hard to do something. |

Doug doesn't have a lot to work with on defense. Hamonic's been terrible this year, and Hickey/Seidenberg/Mayfield/Pelech isn't exactly a desirable group of defensemen to round out your defensive lineup with. I do happen to think de Haan has had a solid year though. Nothing flashy, but he's been consistently reliable. |

I still have a huge issue with it. If you have to trade a Nelson for someone who brings a little less offense, but more grit you do it. I think Garth wasted too much time on Duchene like Stamkos and he had no plan B. He should have brought in a faceoff guy or even a guy with some grit at least. It would not have broken the bank. Garth doing nothing again was the wrong play. Garth has been burned time and again going with the same team. |

Yeah agreed about de Haan. Still think he's most likely to get taken in the expansion draft. I thought the defense was going to be fine this year going into the season, but it has to be retooled a little in the offseason. Need more puck movers. |

Seidenberg leads the team in +/- at +22. The next player has 1/2 that at +11, which is de Haan. |

Problem is that it's incredibly difficult to retool a defense. You almost never see a quality defenseman get moved, especially not one on a halfway-decent deal. The UFA defenseman market is turrrrible this offseason too. |

Have to hope Toews is ready next year and Pulock stays injury free. |

I don't think Toews going to be ready for the NHL, which is totally fine. They need to clear out some dead weight on defense. Hopefully Garth works something out with McPhee to take Hickey. There are a lot of bodies and only 6 spots. Leddy, Boychuk, Hamonic, de Haan, Pulock, Pelech, Mayfield, Hickey (counting him until he's not there to be counted) |

It's fine if Toews needs more time. Just want a new staff to make that call. Isles do need to clean up the D. Seidenberg will be gone. Forwards need the most work. I think better coaching will help the team D. |

I hope they call up Pulock and he scores 12 PP goals just to make them look like bigger (frank)ing idiots. They probably won't do it for that exact reason. Winning is never the biggest reason for any decision Snow makes, it's secondary. |

Ok now that this season is over (thank God) we can start concentrating at the tasks at hand. For one firing GArth Snow. That should be done as soon as the STanley Cup is hoisted up by whatever team. Second finding a new coaches. Time for a re haul. Three signing and Tavares and promising him the world. Then the draft and then some trades.
I just can not beleive what I saw last night. This team looks beyond horrible and they need a facelift. Again the defense looked lost and without Greiss it would have been a hundred times worse. Also when Josh Bailey scores the only goal you know there is no way you were winning. Islanders are slow and seem to not care. I dont even know if they know they are in a playoff race but it seems they dont care. Power play is atrocious, 5 on 5 they are atrocious, they take some real stupid penalties as well. They are passing way to much or when they shgoot they wait until someone is literally right in front of them. Clutterbuck is non existant, Nelson forgot had to play the sport. Hickey is lost and half of his defense team mates as well. I dont know what happened to this team but it seems they just gave up. Pulock should have been here months ag. JAck Capuano should have been fired in the first month. The list goes on and on with this team. All I know they have taken one giant leap backwards and that falls on the GM at this point |

Soundtigers signed Matthew Gaudreau to an ATO.
I'm sure he will be just as good as Brett Lindros and Blake Kessel. |

Exactly this has been the same team for years and you would think after failing year after year he would realize that this is just not working. Garth loves his players cause it is his team. Just shows he is not very smart when it comes to the NHL. It boggles my mind that they do nothing every year and expect this team to be better |

I predicted Pulock would be called up the 2nd to last game so I have a shot. |

He will have like 20 points and watch next year he will be in the AHL cause for some reason they will say he cant play defense or he needs to mature |
