Wow. After his game one hat trick, I made a joke about Colborne being lucky to get to 10 goals this year. I was way too generous. Too bad the Flames let him go.

Yeah, sucks to see his career take a turn like that. Wonder how re-signing with us for another year would have looked.

Well that was a nice game to boost the stats. Nice of the Avalanche to pretend they were trying to win at the end there.

Mayby if he had figured out that with Jonny on the ice your job is to shoot he could have stayed on the top line.

Looking at the play of players like johnny, monahan, Brodie since they were released of their anchors one has to wonder where the flames would be if the Wideman and chiasson experiments hadn't lasted over half a season

The only reason I'd be okay with them breaking up the line was if they were giving up as Bennett as a centre and wanted to put him on that line and moved Tkachuk to the top line as I'm still not sold Ferland is a top line kind of guy.

But none of that makes sense with the way everyone is playing right now.

Ferland goal (15) assist (9) starting to look like he might just be the missing piece for that line. No coincidence that that line really picked up once he was put on it! How many goals would he have if he was there all season?

Question ...is Ferland getting that line going ...or is the lack of chiasson getting that line going ?

Personally I think it's a combination if both ...but you have to look at it from each side

Probably both. I like Ferland on the line because he's a big body that hits and creates space for 13/23. He's got a deadly shot and plays his game, not trying to be something he isn't. Will be a big factor in the playoffs.
Haven't watched any games for a while as I've been in Sayulita for just over 2 weeks, going home Friday.
