The PK is a joke and what was that last PP the Hawks had. Literally NEVER got it into the zone one time. Brutal hockey all the way around.

All the optimism regarding the play of the young guys may not translate well to the pressure of tournament play.

I was worried about the youth on this roster, then I wasn't...
...but the concern has returned.

The Hawks are playing every other day through the end of the season. There isn't an open day for a real practice. The means there isn't much hope to work on the PP and PK. The PP and PK are not good enough to go far in the playoffs.

Yes because that's all you've done for years. I'm an even blend of both positive and negative. Actually most would probably say I'm more positive. But this is not a time to be positive. So have at it.

Well, you did lose a couple of your big emotional leaders on the team in Sharp and Shaw. I don't see Keith being a motivational guy, and Seabrook is probably worried about his own play.

Considering the condensed schedule for the entire year...I wonder if the Hawks ever practice special teams. From the results this season it sure doesn't look like it.

Special team play is shaping up to be a problem in the post season...

I'm not thrilled with the refs, but I don't attribute the problem to a league wide conspiracy to...

1. Damage the Hawks, or...
2. Establish league wide parity.

I just think the refs are generally lousy.

4-4 in a vacuum is meh

4-4 after establishing a 4-1 lead in a "bounce-back" game that carries importance is very disturbing. Giving up those 3 goals in such a short amount of time, while looking rattled and having horrible body language is even more disturbing.


And the Lightning we faced in those finals are minus Stamkos, Filpulla, Johnson, Callahan, Boyle, etc....

Not even close to being the same level of competition.
