Brutal loss and that's 4 straight bad games. - EnzoD
Pathetic. Who puts 2 d on the ice in OT. What a joke. |

Lightning are very good...even with all those injuries. The East is loaded. |

Worst loss of the season
Signs of some serious problems
I don't know what to expect when this team gets to the playoffs now. A few weeks ago i thought we were Cup bound. Crazy turn of events. IMO this loss is much worse than the 7-0 loss to the Panthers. This one really hurts. |

If you don't honor your opponent, you almost always put yourself in a position to lose, pretty consistent vs non playoff teams |

Great game
Nice winner in OT
Fatigue in OT wins the day
Not Darlings best outing
No injuries is the good news |

Both teams had 3 powerplayers.
Bolts scored on 2 of theirs...Hawks zero. That will be a recipe for a very quick post-season. |

The way things look now...in the west...
Ducks, Nashville,.. Oil or Flames perhaps.
Hawks look like crap...6 games to clean it up. |

I would not use Seabrook in OT -- he's much slower this season. |

Yep...bad special teams will likely kill this club. |

how did our decisions become so bad? Passes to dangerous areas, ring arounds with no winger to receive, blind between the legs passes during a change. Panarin, Hammer, and Keith (to my eyes)were the worst offenders. |

Nah they are in we don't give a shot mode until the playoffs start |

Panarin making a habit of turning it over at the blue line.
One of the sloppiest and brain dead OTs the Hawks have played - starting with Hjalmarsson skating down the length of the ice and then turning it over behind the Tampa net - either have a clue what to do or give the puck to a team mate who does. Tampa played it perfect - just follow Hjalmarsson down the ice until he turns it over. Much of the OT was a lot of the same where the Hawks looked totally out of sync. I don't recall - did the Hawks even get a shot on goal during the OT?

Wasn't that twice for defensive draws with Kruger (your only other center who you would trust on FOs in OT) - if they lose the draw, you have two defense men and a defensive forward in you own zone; if they win it (or when they get the puck back) they make the change.
Good strategy, given the Hawks' FO problems. |

Disagree...the West is wide open this season.
A wild card can come out of the west.
Special teams is gonna kill this club...
...plus an inability to win a FO. |

This team has no hope, no chance and no future. They'll be out in four straight against whomever they play. |

Agree...
...and the Hawks better take few minors considering the state of the PP. - ArlingtonRob
This coaching staff needs to be held accountable for this team's Horrific
Special teams. The PP is predictable with never any variation. Keith's push em back entry is laughable, and NEVER any down low penetration.
The PK system is terrible with never pressuring the puck.
It doesn't matter who's on the ice, if they play passive, sit in the box BS.
I guess Marcus Kruger isn't the answer on the PK either is he.
Not his fault.....it's the system.....Q's system.

I still put most of the blame on the players. |

Tough one to lose . TB was desperate ,and still a very good team . HAWKS are not playing their best ,and had a very rough 5 min in the 2nd otherwise played ok . Darling was not great . Missing their 2nd line center back up goalie and Hartman missing ,team did okay .Team will be fine , young team there will be bumps in the road . All the hand ringing is unwarranted .GO HAWKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Watching this game - do the Hawks have a few flaws ... sure as does every other team in the west - but they also have so much high end skill that I'm afraid it's still going to be a chore to beat them 4 out of 7 - just my 2 cents - |

Duncan with 28:29 min
Hammer with 25:39 min
Kane with 24 min
They all looked tired. Know he doesn't want to, but Q may want to sit them before the playoffs. Keith proved he wasn't a cyborg when his knee gave out.
Q's stopped trying to roll four lines. Feeling like the period leading up to the playoffs last year.
Good news is that it sounds like Anisimov is expected to be back for 1-2 games before the playoffs. |

I was going to ask why Hayden played only 9:21 and I just saw the answer - on Tampa's 2nd goal Hayden came into the middle and left his man wide open to receive a pass from Drouin and then get a clean shot that Drouin deflected in. Hayden totally misplayed that and Q stapled him to the bench for most of the rest of the game. |

#Blackhawks finished with 44 shot attempts (37 at even strength, 32 on goal total). Lightning had 74 attempts (52 at EV, 30 on goal).
I know it's on the whole team, but sure seems like a defensive breakdown. |
