Let's all be honest here, unless they win 6-0 it's always doom n gloom here
I seriously must watch different games then most do
at least be fair sometimes, this site and our fans are extremely unfair. I think I need 10 days off haha - Slimtj100
It's the price you pay for long-term success. When a team is successful for a long period of time, the standards go up. The Rangers are being judged by their fans against the elite class of NHL teams right now because they've been successful over the last 12 years. I rather have that then to go back to the days when people were thrilled when we would just squeak into the playoffs.
Of course the fanbase is unfair sometimes. But that is a good sign of the status of the team in many ways.

They don't have a home win in close to 40 days. Colorado has 2 over their last 23. Michael Grabner has regressed. Stepan only has 2 goals in 20+ games. Pros; Nash heating up, Skjei playing well and Raanta.
i think i read something like 5 wins in the last 16 or something close to that. I know this isnt last year but damn they are just backing into the playoffs again - mrn22

I would try Buchnevich with Hayes and Miller, Grabner with Lindberg and Fast.

I just don't think these guys get enough credit for being a pretty damn good team.
1. Your in the best division in hockey and firmly have a place in the playoffs all season long
2. Since Zib got hurt way back in November was it? They haven't had the best roster possible (i.e.-Nash Girardi Hank were all out for extended periods)
3. Best road record which is very hard to do.
4. 4 lines contribute nightly. Depth can win you a series
I'll give you the D is scary at times no question about it. But last year was worse imo with Boyle, Yandle. Mac was hurt. I try not to relate previous seasons but with that and pitt being the hottest team since the LA 8 seed team, I can't compare them to an opponent like mtl this year. So forgive me for having a little faith, the past few seasons have earned that from me

All the things they do well on the road, they don't at home. You're not going to advanced through the playoffs if you can't win home games. Also their special teams has regressed. You can win with a sub par power play. You can't when you're penalty kill stinks. right now it stinks.

Probably the most concerning thing for me going into the playoffs.

if they can grab 8-10 points out of the 12 remaining I will feel better about them, but if they wanna keep playing sub-500 hockey the rest of the way

if they get 12 out of last 12 possible points it isn't going to mean squat once playoffs begin either
