I know you love these vintage archive articles, from the 4 game sweep of the Islanders & a Mick Vukota mention. Forgot almost about his cheap shot on Jay Wells late in that 4th game, I searched there's no video of that on youtube, just an older fight (fights) between Vukota/Wells. Was a def sore loser move, think he just wanted to avoid the handshake line.

"Jay Wells, 15 years, OH look at that, 15 years he's waited"> Sam's call, Wells looked like he was crying, not too skilled, probably couldn't play in todays game but he was a warrior, played through pain always. Good fighter, perfect 6th d man on that team.

I gotta say, after giving AV a 2 year extension, it would really have to be a matter of falling apart, like being swept and looking as bad as they did vs Penguins last year

I think last year's playoff debacle could be attributed it to the Rangers being a tired team from the 2014 and 2015 playoff runs and the Pens playing out of their mind

they don't have any of those excuses this year

Yea, would really have to be a drubbing & again, some kind of horrible Coaching move to get him canned. Garden is willie nillie about money but they just signed him to the extension, can't see them firing him unless its an abomination.
