you ever played injured, you cant get there quick enough which leads to mistakes.
- Bettmanhatesus

Yes & was less effective to a degree but Tanev had possesion not chasing the puck down. He was 50/50ish on passing quickly.

That's a from a down low shot so it should make him look bigger. That look stockey? No. Muscle though adds to weight and he is a strong kid. But you had to make a pompous ass comment in your response. Like you are some superior know it all.

As for OJ no one is denying he's lean and needs to add strength. Guess what he's doing over the summer. He's at the right age to pop on some muscle with a couple months of diet and training.

- Nuck4U

He's stocky compared to OJ, which was the point. It's too bad you're too consumed with arguing that you missed it.

6'3" 180 lbs

5'10" 190 lbs

It's not rocket science, OJ is a skinny kid. Chances that he plays in the NHL next year are almost as slim as he is.

Same can be said for BB. Just because he's on the team today doesn't mean I expect him to be there all of next year. I have no problem with OJ, JV, BB, TD, even Goldy spending most of next year in the AHL to develop and earn their NHL ice time; as a reward for doing what the bosses ask (attitude, conditioning, defensive responsibilities etc..) when injuries occur to the top guys. I wouldn't keep any of them around to play bottom six minutes because I firmly believe that 18-20 mins a night in Utica is way the fcuk more valuable than 10-12 mins a night in Vancouver. Sure, give them a taste now that the season is over, but do it so they know how much sweeter it is to be a Canuck than a Comet. Go out and sign 3 more Shatpoos, Megans and Skillies to fill out the NHL roster and let the process happen. You can't rush time. One of the many reasons Auston Matthews is so good is that he's one of the biggest body on the ice. You can't teach size and you can't turn a 180 pound teenager into a 200 plus pound man in one offseason.

We need to do this the right way. Everyone keep your baby boners in your pants and be patient, we're on the right track.

- Max.Betts

That's the issue Nucks really don't have any now in the vet category. So let the best players onto the roster no matter the age. You can have four lines and balance the playing time. No need to load 2 lines with your UFA plug suggestion.

This post made my head hurt.

I'll fix it for you.

I know it's what made me laugh, these guys, with Edler, can't get out of their own end. They're slow and can't win pick battles anymore. It's tough to watch them decline, like this, they've had their days and I,like energy Canuck fan, loved watching them, this is brutal.

I actually agree with you. Don't take this the hard way but I'm bored.

Have a good night folks.

That and WD's deployments. More emphasized in these learning situations for the youth at this time of the season.

Why is WD going for the win or defending the lead at the end of games by overplaying the Sedins, Edler and Sutter?!?

I hear you. It's not about wins. But he's not helping development. Not saying kids will do better. Maybe worse. But at least they get that exposure now. Set them up better for next season.

Is there a coach that will have the fortitude to hold the Sedins to 12 minutes a game?

The kids played. Not in the last part of the game but they looked tired from first to last whistle. Sedin's being vets and never expending energy still had lots left in the tank.

3 things for you
1. Free Willie YAH!
2. Donna respect others opinions
3. Goldy was less then impressive. He looked like Sven of last season. Sorry not last season but the season before when he only played 3 games. Should be in the minors learning.

EDLER is horrible. Man O Man.

LaBate tries to do to much.

Boucher is slow.

Miller is even better in person.

This team misses Granlund and Eriksson.

Hutton has a lot of potential to be a real good 2nd pairing puck moving D man. Just needs seasoning.

Agreed with all these points but you should probably distinguish between serviceable and real good. Hutton is exceptionally average and easily replaced. What's hard to replace is Tryamkin.

You know who else was slow when he first joined the team? Bo Horvat. Who's been centering Boucher lately? Bo Horvat! I'm not worried about him. He's brings the same offensive skills we lost in Jared McCann, one hell of a shot. It will be a while before this team has a 35-40 goal scorer again so his services will be needed next year.

I'll admit WD's deployment of personnel has made me wonder at times, but I quite like what this coaching staff has done on the breakout... it's fkn fantastic and really effective. They bring the C down low to the bottom of the faceoff circle and the dmen just chip pucks to that spot, over and over again. Then C makes a short give and go with the winger on the boards and they're out. I've watched them do it successfully time after time and it really deserves some recognition.

JV has more time before making a premature call.
His game has more to offer than anything Shink can offer.
Still JV could bust out & maybe only end up a 3/4th liner.
Shink is not top 6 hence an AHLer lifer type

- Nighthawk

Aquaman should be taken behind the woodshed for that JV pick...

Your talking to me about what is serviceable and real good but your saying how the break out is good. You might want to watch Van play once in a while. The break out is a train wreck everytime. There is a reason they give up 40 plus shots a game. Its because the break out is pathetic. Literally watched it for 2 periods yesterday from Vans blue line. The break out is embarassing.

yeah, and they have been shiite on the pp ever since Ehrhoff and Salo left pretty much...

should have signed Salo on for those last two seasons and traded him at the deadline... MG was kind of an idiot though. Didn't get any returns for the guys he didn't bother resigning. Willie Mitchell, another guy he didn't sign and lost for nothing... should have signed him to a deal and traded him at the deadline if he didn't work out or whatnot... what a waste.

Agreed.
Did you find it was the defense not making a good pass/finding the open man or was it still the forwards standing still or skating into a check?
With both Hansen and Burrows gone we have no one left that knows how to chip puck out or get into an opening. The wrong mentors appear to be left remaining.

PP didn't have too many chances last night. Stecher being injured after the 1st didn't help. Willie Mitchell I believe had concussion problems for a couple of years before he left Van. I doubt anyone thought he was going to play much more.

MG was about going for it and instead should have been trading away excess parts and getting a few picks back. Not like those picks would have amounted to anything the way he drafted though.
