With us adding prospects etc cost control is not an issue IMO
Too much is made of burning 1 year of an ELC.
If BB pans out like we hope its all moot.

As I mentioned I would consider trading this years first and maybe addin a little to get Jost. He was second or third best center last year much better than this years crop.

Him and Boeser have a history and he is one year ahead of this years group

BUT

I don't think it is nowhere near as bad as some on here think.

I think with another year of experience and the addition of Boeser Goldobin and maybe OJ we will also be a little better.

Well we have Hellybuyk and Comrie on the Moose but goalies now a days take so damm long!! Why did Florida give up on Markstrom, cause he was taking too damm long to develop. It's hard to patient with goalies.

On free agents. No high profile signings are in the cards. Unless next summer E. Kane is available. Matured and cleaned up his act. Is a high end scoring power forward that adds jam to the line up. Local boy who will fight for team and up the compete level.

If they get him. Then I see with Sedins gone that JB goes to LE to waive for a trade. Whatever they get back it's a win. As taking off that contract and adding the younger fiesterer and high scoring Kane would be the win. Kane will cost more then 6x6 but worth it over dumping LE.

I think myers and Trouba played one game together this year because of injuries / hold out, and other injuries havent helped but I think our problem is Maurice's system. The coach needs to go.

That's exactly what you said this year, and last, when you accept they stink and have a long way to go, you'll be better off.
