Nothing says preparing for the NCAA tournament like talking about his future plans...

Vesey's article had a completely different tune and he mentioned Nashville in it.

Petersen was talking about the tournament.

You cannot compare the two.

That being said none of it matters until Petersen makes a decision on what he wants to do after the tournament.

Im probably way off here but from what i saw in the last game it has less to do with penalty calls and more to do with coaching.

The first two periods were great hockey. The sabres shut it down in the third and there was literally nothing going on.

Even if you called close to every penalty as defined in the rules, the majority of this game is played at 5 on 5. Fixing the entertainment factor starts and ends there.

This is the one sport where you can create end to end action thats just on a completely different level and i hate that coaches, development programs etc have placed an emphasis on discouraging this.

You are not way off but my point to calling all penalties is it reduces the effectiveness of teams employing that low event, sleep inducing style because they will be skated around and by more often then not if they play that style if they are not allowed to circumvent the rules.
