I'm not looking forward to the wanabee spatso's predictions coming true, now that would make for a real poop show in here.
Either way we're doomed..

Leafs are 7-2-1 in last 10. Another run like that and they'll be golden.

Not worried.

People from other teams crashing another team's blog make me sick.

"OMG they are 'trolling', get them out, get them out!"

Usually after the leafs play such a pathetic embarrassing game...they go on a 3-4 game run....lets hope that continues.

2-2 in the next 4 games? We'd still be in great shape.

I don't think you get the significance of a 4 point lead in Tampa. 3 on the Islanders. And 1 point and a game in hand on the Bruins with 7 games left.

We aren't celebrating a playoff spot like you say we are. We are just happy with where the Leafs are 75 games in and feel good going into the final games with games and good point leads on other teams and going into the final games 7-2-1.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Leaf fans are going to be happy with this.

First it was the leafs will never make the playoffs. Then it was the Leafs will never keep their card spot. Then it was the Leafs won't catch the Bruins.

You'll be here...for the next decade saying the Leafs won't be able to win something..just to get you through the next horrible decade you are about to go through with Vancouver. Have fun

Well its really not that much. with 8 games left, two losses in a row for the leafs along with two wins in a row for Tampa and that 4 point lead is gone. So not really that significant. Lots of time for the leafs to choke this away.

Lets hope they dont.

While I agree with you, I must say Vancouver had an excellent trade deadline.

They're finally rebuilding the right way.

I wonder if they'll be able to get something good for the Sedins at some point...

What if the Leafs win 2 in a row and Tampa loses 2 in a row? It's all over.

With 7-8 games left even a point is huge.

Thats a tough trade now. If those two facks have to be on the same team, that's a lot of salary to move. Hopefully they grow a pair and are open to playing on a separate teams. Would make it easier to trade them.
But ya, Benning made some good moves. Finally.

Frederik Andersen is on the ice at the #leafs practice rink.

EDIT: It's an hour before the scheduled practice, but him being out there is still good news

It was definitely a good deadline. Some good young prospects were added with trading mean players.

I do remember a few years ago the Canucks had a good trade deadline and went into the draft with a lot of picks and thought the "rebuild" was over

I'd be worried as long as Benning is there

Could be for sure. Depending on the final 6 games each team has.

Lets hope the leafs finish no worse than .500 the rest of the way.
Although I think they will need 9-10 pts to secure 3rd in their division.

The leafs simply cannot afford a losing streak at all.
Gotta win against Florida. Which I believe they will, last game against them, the leafs had no effort, I doubt they repeat. Plus Reimer.

Canucks are certainly scrounging for redemption prospects these days (to some success).

Granlund, Bartschi, Goldobin, Boucher, Cramarossa etc.

93/94 points is what the math geeks on SN were saying.

I think they win as well. Really hoping Leivo or Sosh is back to play on the 4th line. I know Smith wasn't the reason they lost but he definitely contributed. He's down right awful

If they don't make it it's all on them...they are in complete control and don't even need to be perfect like the rest of the teams. I'll be pretty dissipointed if they don't.

Still surprised they added him for so little.
