No, wizard, it's just that all of us heard it, so you hearing but doesn't give you any unique knowledge.
- Der Kaiser

Never said I had any... I just don't like hearing people say McPhee doesn't owe Murray anything when Murray came out on public radio and said he did. and that McPhee acknowledged it.

Hate to break it to you but we're drafting anywhere from 7-10. And we will definitely win at least two more games this season. Might as well be against the Laffs so their fans can go home sad knowing they wasted a lot of money over paying for tickets in our building.

Right now we are close to the 4th overall pick

The higher the pick the better trade value it has

Ugh. The salary still counted for 3 mill cap hit at the time and they were in a crunch so Murray agreed to pay for it because he knew we were tanking as a favor.
- bluengold12

No, it didn't. He was successfully waived. That doesn't count on NHL cap.

Remember Vegas will be picking ahead of us. We're currently picking 7th without Vegas. 8 with them. Six pints out of what will likely be the 4th pick in the draft.

So hearing it from the horses mouth isn't enough for you? Gotcha....

Not when it's for public consumption and there's spin involved. Kinda like how I never bought into his fast rebuild either.

Of course you believe McPhee doesn't owe us anything. Just like for the longest time during the year you didn't believe Badgosian was one of the worst players of the Sabres in last ten years. You were wrong then and will be wrong again.

I assume if we pick first overall I'm pretty sure we would keep the pick

3-4 trade

What year was it? The rule only kicked in last year, 2 years ago? When was the last time Danny Cleary signed a contract? where you can only bury $900K or whatever the number is.

In a draft with no franchise-changing players this would be the draft we would win IMO lol

I was speaking in generalities. I think he probably does owe Murray something, however, his team comes first.

Nah because we can do so much with that pick if we win a top three spot I'd trade it all day for a bonafide top pairing defenceman
