The problem with Moulson, Bogosian and Gorges is that you are handcuffing your team. You can even make that argument for Ennis. Las Vegas isn't going to take on mega contracts, not from the expansion draft anyway.
- buffalofan19

Can't really include Gorges as he only has 1 more year. Not arguing the point, but Gorges could be the "favor". No handcuff necessary.

Kane, Bailey, Baptiste, future 1st and 2nd round picks, Asplund, Fitzgerald, Fasching, Foligno. All of those are solid assets.

if it was enough to land a top 3 guy, we wouldnt be having this conversation.

They'll probably have to look at a team with a lot of young d-men hungry for ice time or that team lacks talent up front. Roll the dice on a guy like theodore hope he pans out.

Gorges has one year left and is a veteran presence and locker room guy. A perfect person to start the franchise with. Ennis still has skill and can have occasional bursts of electric play that could be intriguing to a new team trying to get fans.

Give me an example of these favors that make the NHL work. It sounds like you're in the know b
- Der Kaiser

Murray was on WGR and sounded as confident as ever that he and McPhee are on the same page all ready. I forgot the players name but we traded for him when McPhee was in Washington I believe. Last name might've been Kelsa or something? Regardless Washington wanted him off their roster so they could have the cap space and Murray knew he wouldn't play here but did them a favor anyway knowing he'd get something in return. If you listen to Murray's interview from this week he mentioned how he brought that up t McPhee the other week and how he acknowledged that he owed him.. *Hint Hint* *Wink Wink*

You mean the Halak trade? That's not a big favor. We swapped backups and took a AHl d man back

Is it me or is when the Leafs come to town, is the arena not only filled with Leaf fans, but they're the only games that are full before faceoff?

Next time someone asks you to act as a source, please come up with more than "I listened to the local sports talk station."

Ugh. The salary still counted for 3 mill cap hit at the time and they were in a crunch so Murray agreed to pay for it because he knew we were tanking as a favor.

Hate to break it to you but we're drafting anywhere from 7-10. And we will definitely win at least two more games this season. Might as well be against the Laffs so their fans can go home sad knowing they wasted a lot of money over paying for tickets in our building.
