After the times that Jersey made Sundin cry, it was different watching that crucial last game against the Devils and saying wow, Jersey is pretty much (frank)ed. You can give them a seven minute power play, it doesn't matter. Is this real? I ate some weird spores in the woods, is this even happening?

eichel scares me. since buffalo has been so poop everyone is forgetting about him but he's tied for 4th in scoring since january 1st with 29 points in 25 games. only backstrom, kane, and kucherov have more points over that period.

Those always seemed like tough games in the early 00's. He loved playing the Habs though.

I'm pretty sure I saw Hall's soul leave his body when they did a long take of the bench during the game.

They are soooo bad. Take Schneider of that team and they are the 2013/14 Sabres.

away games vs Buffalo

2010's: 3-15-0
2000's: 8-18-2
1990's: 3-9-2
1980's: 4-12-0
1970's: 10-16-2

yeah that's just brutal. not a single decade with a winning % over .400 in Buffalo

I was there for just about it all of them

Saw the good (the comeback with the kaberle of winner) and the bad (mccabe own goal)

It made no sense really but he always seemed to give up soft goals vs the Leafs. If those were the only games I watched from him I'd have him on my most overrated of all-time list lol.

I wonder if they regret kicking Lou upstairs?

Is Taylor Hall setting some kind of record for team losing percentage experienced by a first overall pick? Holy (frank), I almost feel sorry for the Admiral Ackbar lookin' mother(frank)er. Then he doesn't even make Team Canada even when he arguably could, where he would be almost a lock to win something. Poor dumbass bastard.

That was Marty in a nutshell. He would face 35 shots and look masterful. Other nights he would face like 12 and fall asleep and let in a softie or two.

Hall not making Team Canada is a joke imo. Given they still win every time I can't really make a convincing argument but there's not a chance I'd put Duchene for example over him yet he made the World Cup team and Hall didn't.

Pretty much. Can't play monday morning quarterback when they win anyway, but I didn't understand not taking Hall.

Love Lou. With Lou and Shanahan there and now super generational American Matthews, I'll be rooting for you guys in the East.

Conte and the drafting is what really (frank)ed the Devils bad. Lou is sometimes loyal to a fault. I get that they drafted late, but 1st round picks under the Lou regime since Zajac are Bergfors, Corrente, Tedenby, Josefson, Larsson, Matteau, Quennville.

I really wish I bookmarked it but someone put together some stats for goalies relating to how they did in games with 30+ shots and how they did in games where they faced less than 30. I think every single goalie they did it for had a better sv% when facing more shots and they excluded games where they were pulled since that'd quite obviously skew the results.

So I guess what I'm saying is Marty was more than likely a better goalie than his sv% suggests. Maybe significantly so.

Unfortunately for Schneider he doesn't have two first ballot HOF defenseman and a handful of very good Dmen in front of him. Or Lemaire.
