What I would do with Guds is offer him 5 year 4 mil and stay pat . If he doesn't sign he could receive an offer sheet and if it is more than 5.4 you get back a first second and third.

No reason to pay him stupid money

- VANTEL

Good points & why no need to panic or worry.
EG is needed & his play style will be key as we grow.

Because they have one that's too many? There are 4 lines for forwards.

Right now you have Horvat Sutter Gaunce and Gaudette sounds like a good prospect .

And if WD is still coach Biega

- VANTEL

lol @ Biega

I've been wondering if we have seen the last of Grandlund at centre now that we know of his wrist injury have been most of the year it would make sense as to why he wasn't as good at centre, and if can get completly healthy and strong for next year i would not count him out as a centre just yet

Normally what happens in junior, Younger better players play wing and then move to center once older guys move on. He did win the face off on the Overtime goal.

Dmitry Zhukenov same in the Q plays center sometimes but most of the time plays wing on Nicholas Roy's line.

We could trade for Linden Vey

I am not worried one iota about the center position going forward witht the Canucks

Misses the draft by 1 single day this year.
45 points in 51 games in the USHL. Mittelstadt in the same league has 28 points in 21 games.

Just looking at what he brought to that team. The heart and leadership. A team that was ranked barely in the top 10 thanks to him missing so many games. Wins their tournament and first round match up win. Down 3-1 comeback to lose in overtime to a team that has 8 first/second round picks on it.

He looks like a very smart player. I think we are in for a fun ride with him and Bo

Very possible we may have gotten lucky with Boucher. Still too early to tell but the kid does have a great shot and nose for the net on the PP. I'm actually blown away that Torts has been able to get what he is getting out of Gagner and a few others in CLB.
- LordHumungous

Idk about lucky. He bounced a bit due to needing to clear waivers to go to the A.
His skating & D have been the knocks on him. Shooting his strength.

The amount of times you see Wpg forwards look around to find Buff after the other team has scored is astonishing. Usually found out new the blue line or in the corner. Nowhere near where he should be.

He had 3 registered hits yesterday! I think he will be a consistent 60 point player. He reminds me of TJ Oshie.

You don't have to fix everything in one year. IMO there are no standout centers so draft one next year
- VANTEL

I agree but every year is exploring for what JB targets as an upgrade.
If no deals make sense onto the next trading period. I suggest moves mostly due to JB is a wheeler dealer & isn't done yet & we have D & wings we could package up.
Top end playmakng C & stud D r glaring needs however/whenever we get them.

the team could be very young next year.

Thats most likely & adding to that we have done ok filling age gaps

Who am I supposed to cheer for tonight?
I would like Van to win but for drafting purposes I'd like Van to lose. So difficult. I think I will just cheer for both.

Buff takes both stupid penalties & sets a poor example of leadership.

Adding to that he lost both linemmates to the NHL & was on a very young team.
Underlying all things saying he was THE team leader at UND

Now Van has an age gap from 24-28 in terms of forwards.
Read yesterday the prime age for players is 25-28. Only if the Sedin's were 10 years younger.

I'm a realist. I want Van to win every game. I also realize that the season is over pretty much and getting a higher draft pick will help the team in the long run, even if it's a weaker draft.

Thats been prevalent fir a long time in general terms of age.
If we trade or not my biggest need for us is still a PP QB.
Top level C is always in demand & stud D of course but harder to determine.
So often D comes from lower down the draft its more likely a C goes higher.

Anyone see a deal out there that makes our PP get rockin?
Ignore our current rebuild status & spitball at will who u like.
