I watched Vilardi last night he was a nice player . He didn't dominate.

There is no doubt in my mind we will get a good player that will add to the team. There is no player that I have seen this year that has controlled games other than Hischier.

I have only seen him play in the world juniors and the prospect game , so I don't have a good read on him or anyone else. All I know is there is not one player that I have seen this year that I said that is exactly who Canucks need so that is why I go to the Best all around Dman.

- VANTEL

Okayyy...

I don't ever recall commenting on Vilardi. He's 9th in my top 10, which I admit is the Kaitlyn Jenner of top 10's... Nobody understands it & it used to have 1 D, but not anymore.

Fair enough & thats your opinionđź‘Ť

If you read the long version I illustrate why......

Its not an opinion is a fact...whether alternative or not is for others to check.

But I honestly think LE is a good player who will bounce back.

I went to Home Depot recently while not being altogether sure that course of action was a wise one. You see, the previous evening I had prepared and consumed a massive quantity of my patented 'you're definitely going to crap yourself' road-kill chili. Tasty stuff, although hot to the point of being painful, which comes with a written guarantee from me that if you eat it, the next day both of your butt cheeks WILL fall off.

Here's the thing. I had awakened that morning, and even after two cups of coffee (and all of you know what I mean) nothing happened. No 'Watson's Movement. Despite the chilies swimming their way through my intestinal tract, I was unable to create the usual morning symphony referred to by my dear wife as 'thunder and lightning'.

Knowing that a time of reckoning HAD to come, yet not sure of just when, I bravely set off for Home Depot, my quest being paint and supplies to refinish the deck. Upon entering the store at first all seemed normal. I selected a cart and began pushing it about dropping items in for purchase. It wasn't until I was at the opposite end of the store from the toilets that the pain hit me.

Oh, don't look at me like you don't know what I'm talking about. I'm referring to that 'Uh, Oh, CRAP, gotta go' pain that always seems to hit us at the wrong time. The thing is, this pain was different. The chilies from the night before were staging a revolt. In a mad rush for freedom they bullied their way through the small intestines, forcing their way into the large intestines, and before I could take one step in the direction of the toilets which would bring sweet relief, it happened. The chilies fired a warning shot.

There I stood, alone in the paint and stain section, suddenly enveloped in a toxic cloud the likes of which has never before been recorded. I was afraid to move for fear that more of this vile odor might escape me. Slowly, oh so slowly, the pressure seemed to leave the lower part of my body, and I began to move up the aisle and out of it, just as a red apron clerk turned the corner and asked if I needed any help.

I don't know what made me do it, but I stopped to see what his reaction would be to the toxic non-visible fog that refused to dissipate.. Have you ever been torn in two different directions emotionally? Here's what I mean, and I'm sure some of you at least will be able to relate. I could've warned that poor clerk, but didn't. I simply watched as he walked into an invisible, and apparently indestructible, wall of odor so terrible that all he could do before gathering his senses and running, was to stand there blinking and waving his arms about his head as though trying to ward off angry bees. This, of course, made me feel terrible, but then made me laugh. ..........BIG mistake!!!!!

Here's the thing. When you laugh, it's hard to keep things 'clamped down', if you know what I mean. With each new guffaw an explosive issue burst forth from my nether region. Some were so loud and echoing that I was later told a few folks in other aisles had ducked, fearing that someone was robbing the store and firing off a shotgun.. Suddenly things were no longer funny. 'It' was coming, and I raced off through the store towards the toilet, laying down a cloud the whole way, praying that I'd make it before the grand explosion took place.

Luck was on my side. Just in the nick of time I got to the john, began the e inevitable 'Oh my God', floating above the toilet seat because my a** is burning SO BAD, purging. One poor fellow walked in while I was in the middle of what is the true meaning of 'Shock and Awe'.. He made a gagging sound, and disgustedly said, 'S**-of-a-b****!, did it smell that bad when you ate it?', then quickly left.

Once finished and I left the restroom, reacquired my partially filled cart intending to carry on with my shopping when a store employee approached me and said, 'Sir, you might want to step outside for a few minutes. It appears some prankster set off a stink bomb in the store. The manager is going to run the vent fans on high for a minute or two which ought to take care of the problem.'

My smirking of course set me off again, causing residual gases to escape me. The employee took one sniff, jumped back pulling his shirt up to cover his nose and, pointing at me in an accusing manner shouted, 'IT'S YOU!', then ran off returning moments later with the manager. I was unceremoniously escorted from the premises and asked none too kindly not to return.
Home again without my supplies, I realized that there was nothing to eat but leftover chili, so I consumed two more bowls. The next day I went to shop at Lowes. I can't say anymore about that because we are in court over the whole matter.. Jerks claim they're going to have to repaint the store.

Listed as a C who has played wing all year. No thx.
I'd take Tippett as a winger before him.
That said its BPA & hopefully thats a C & thats not Vilardi.

Assuming that Sedins are here only for one more year, who's the anointed next Captain and who wears the A`s post twins. I can guess Bo is pretty much a lock for the C but who's on the list for the A`s . Veterans, youth , who do you think ?

Without oferring a top 10 per say i like these players in order...

Hischier
Patrick
Mittelstadt
Necas
Makar
Glass
Tippett

others only not mentioned cuz unlikely they will be considered where we pick.
All the above have speed & skill sets i prefer. The ones i like most have a motor that doesn't quit & is a very high quality i value over most any other.

couple of lazy turnovers by Boucher. He's gotta be more than a "shooter" to stick in the nhl. not strong enough on the puck.

You have no concerns about Patricks brittleness and him being a another potential Salo ?

That's so "little league". You give it to the alpha in the room.

Another reason he is not top 6 material yet or maybe never.
Promotions r not handed out but r earned.
On the PP though his shot is worth considering.

I think it's been overblown, if scouts had such an issue with his health he'd never have been the consensus #1 for most of the season. Patrick will be fine, a lot of his injuries are mostly adjusting to his growth.

For a guy that says he has a finger on the pulse of how that Canucks run ,you sure don't know a lot.

So this is our first year of tanking? We shut down Sutter and Edler for the year at TDL even though they could come back and play at the end of the year, we had two vets Prust and Higgins in the minors while we dressed 16 players under the age of 24 . We finished 28 th and missed by two points finishing last, but this is the first year Canucks management realized to tank. OKay

We selected a very good Dman .I watched him play last night he looks very good. We also picked up a few other good players that you have already sh1t upon like Gaudette , but that's ok I consider the source.

- VANTEL

Riggggggggggggght,
so then they doubled down on last year's 'tank' by signing Eriksson long-term, trading a 1st,2nd and 4th for a mediocre D-man and screamed playoffs right up until this year's deadline...

Gotcha.
Love how you Benning'ites apply revisionist arguments in an attempt to stay relevant.

I am highly concerned over his injury history.
That said i don't want him & would trade that pick if he fell to us.
My 7 players listed r only my rankings on who we might be able to pick.
As someone has mentioned before this draft is not a race for talent up top thats not all that impressive in a weakish draft year. Any one of 10-15 players could end up being the best player in this draft class.

That would be Tanev if it has to go to anyone then.
Idc if ppl favour BO its not his time yet.
Alpha is a personality trait & my guess that is not BO yet

Scouts don't pay players nor coach or play.
Also consensus is not by the scouts but is by the media.
I want a GM who picks his man not one led by consensus.

I don't think Benning was lying when he was trying to get into the wild card spot this year.

No injuries, Sedins hitting 60 points, LE scoring 20 plus.

Honestly could have gone that way with some luck and trying to get better in the off season is a classy thing to do. Something that the so called tank teams don't do.

Slow clap for class.

I fully agree. I for one NEVER want a GM who doesn't put success & winning 1st.
As for the overused word TANK its nothing more than a cheap made up word that so called fans like to use. Management can tank but players never do. Only the blatant years the Pens & Sabres & Leafs tanked has it happened.
