They deserve to be criticized, they've made some poor decisions. Not everything they do is great, in fact, very little they've done is great. They finished third last last year and likely bottom five this year, what's good about that when you're proclaiming, and signing high priced ufa's, you're trying to make the playoffs?

Hopefully Boeser turns into a bright spot for them, when I watched him live he was definitely talented.

Correction 1 high priced UFA not UFA's.
All moot anyways with it having no impact on us landing in the bottom 5.
Nobody can say we could compete with the crap going on with the Av's..
Only cost money.

Why do they deserve to be criticized? You need to give time for these young players to prove themselves.

I am not saying they don't deserve critism but it is too early to judge.

Everyone talked about how bad the Comets were and look at them now?

Big fan of his number choice, I like when players pick something that isn't quite traditional to their position, like when Lecavalier wore number 4 or Vasilevskiy wearing 88

Anyways I didn't back read so I am not sure if this was posted, but I originally thought it was silly for the Canucks to burn a year of his ELC but saw this which makes more sense and think this move strengthens their relationship:

- WhiteLie

All part of his make up. This kid is not spoiled or has been handed stuff. Why he works hard and will be a serious player. I don't know how fast he will adjust to the pro game. But like Stecher he will add an element and learn from mistakes. This is good exposure for him as the team can play against quality opposition without the consequences of losing.

Personally speaking i don't find negative stuff amusing nor funny. Gets stale tbh.
Adding emojis doesn't change that fact either. No probs if ppl wish to speak genuinely on anything thats truth though.
Eg WD & his strange line deployments in key situations. Namely the PP

Don't watch the news or read a newspaper. Negativity sells, everyone wants to hear about someone else's life being worse then their own.

It's sad that things go that way. Life must suck to always have negative thoughts!

I don't think it is too early, they've made some poor decisions thus they deserve criticism.

You said three years ago it was a five year turn around . You think every GM hits a home run on every move they make?

Benning came in here and said he would make the team bigger faster younger stronger . He had 9 NTC at the time . You need time to let Bo Granlund Tryamkin Sven Boeser and others to learn their skill.

You do know they started tanking about a month ago. They do have better options of roster lineup but are trying different things?

They could have kept Hansen and Burrows and dress Ericksson Gaunce if they were hell bent about being competitive.

- VANTEL

What do those point have to do with anything?

Tanking since the TDL?
Yep, I guess ownership/management finally caught on, after years of poor decisions....good for them, Yay!

Roster decisions?
Would the inclusion of those 4 above players instantly make this team competitive? Seems to me those guys played on this team for 2/3rds of the season, didn't help much did it.

I agree with that turning out bad. If the Sedins didn't fall off the map this year then maybe it could have worked.

What if Eriksson scores 20 plus goals for the next 4 years then is it still bad?

Canucks lines per @HockeyAbbs :
DSedin HSedin Chaput
Baertschi Horvat Boeser
Skille Sutter Goldobin
Labate Shore Boucher

Boeser will always have in his legacy that in his very first NHL game he was on the second line only , He was beaten out of top honors with the top line by the great and explosive Michael Chaput.

injuries aside, I think he's getting rewarded for his efforts this year. The Sedins like him. They've actually compared him to burrows. nice to see.

Wonder how Boucher feels about BB's signing

I have no doubt that Eriksson will be better. I was on record last year to saying NO to any UFA signing. The being 'competitive for the playoffs' was nonsense.
Anyway, they might finally be on the right track now.

Anyone thinking LE would make or break our Season is out to lunch.
Winning & losing is a total team effort from management down to the players.
The mess left over from the MG regime doesn't change overnight.
3rd year into the rebuild is nothing & its normal to expect more pain.

Boucher should worry about his own game not someone elses.

Some thoughts on deployment during the play the youth and experiment time of the season. While it's great BB is on the new killer B line which is probably the first line now. I don't get at this experimental time why Boucher is relegated to the fourth again. If Megna was healthy WD probably would scratch him again. It's just mysterious on edict to give young guys ice time. Is it tough love or hate?

Anyway, maybe WD adjusts this. It should be proper to have Boucher play with Sutter and Goldy now to allow him to prove himself. Don't see how he develops better playing with Shore and Labate. Let them grind it out with Skille. At the very least more offense is entertaining with Goldy having another likeminded player.

Sedins unfortunately are so far gone they need a defensive grinder like Chaput or strong two way like Granlund to fucntion. Why splitting them up should be experimented with now as well.

Up to $6m more cap space.

1 less 200' winger to settle down the youth.

Overall the teams results do not lie on 1 players lap
McDavid excluded.

LE @$6m is 8.5% of the teams total cap.
Kane @$10m is 15% of a cup winner & he is paid to drive the team.

Does that analogy suffice for u Pres?

For a guy that says he has a finger on the pulse of how that Canucks run ,you sure don't know a lot.

So this is our first year of tanking? We shut down Sutter and Edler for the year at TDL even though they could come back and play at the end of the year, we had two vets Prust and Higgins in the minors while we dressed 16 players under the age of 24 . We finished 28 th and missed by two points finishing last, but this is the first year Canucks management realized to tank. OKay

We selected a very good Dman .I watched him play last night he looks very good. We also picked up a few other good players that you have already sh1t upon like Gaudette , but that's ok I consider the source.
