I don't know what Engelland needs to do to earn some respect from people, but he's more than done his part. The guy has done everything this team has asked of him and more. Sure, he has a bad contract but that's not his fault and he's been a workhorse. I've liked Bart's play, too.
We need Johnson to pick up his play, you're certainly right about that. He was so good earlier on in the year but he's fallen pretty hard off.
As for the forwards, I know you have some kind of vendetta against Bouma for whatever reason, but he's doing his job. You want to look at a struggling forward, look at Bennett. He's been struggling all year. He's only 20 years old and by no means ahould we give up on the kid, but if you're going to call out Bouma for not getting points (when he isn't necessarily supposed to be) then you should probably call out Bennett too.

I like Engellund on the bottom pair but the guy does get a free pass on a lot of stuff. If Wideman was playing like Engellund we would still be talking poop about him (and rightfully so). It'll be a mistake for us to sign Engellund to a contract with term after this season (he's only going to get slower from this point on).
Stone looks like he'd be an ideal replacement for Engellund. He can play that gritty style and he is capable of contributing offensively every now and then. If we ever want to be considered a legit cup contender we can't have guys like Engellund and Bartowski playing regular minutes for us. Engellund is still an NHL calibre dman, but he isn't quite be good enough to be more than a 7th dman for a team that is serious about winning the cup.
