i was really hoping the game would have gotten out of reach. in a 1-0 there is no way that someone would go after the weasel....... the league will not call this penalty, so it is left to 'the code' .......

somebody should have taken him out, but they needed to two points. to that, when I hear that 'the best way to get them back is on the scoreboard' ..... I say bullsh!t ....

Nice piece here. These slashes happen all of the time, this one just had the bad luck of shattering a finger. To me the worst transgression was the nut shot. No reason for it and no place in the game for that poop, yet the NHL was eerily silent after it happened. Nope. I thought Malkin's hit to the head was way worse than Risto's ass to the chest of Guentzal. Definitely didn't think Risto should have been suspended at all.

But he didn't say nothing. He called it a hockey play. Nothing dirty. Sid slashed his stick while he was shooting which caused his stick to slide up and catch his finger.
