Suspenders are only really necessary if/when your gut gets big enough that belts don't really do the job anymore.

They're also a totally acceptable piece of black tie dress but as a utility, not an accessory. They aren't meant to be seen.

Not many in the NHL better at going into the corners and coming out with the puck than Matthews.. The guy has amazing stick skills in traffic.

You're absolutely right. One of the first things that stood out to me about his game. He could be the guy digging the puck out of the boards and then work give and goes with Willy and Leivo.

That would free up Hyman to use his puck digging skills to waste time in the opponents' end for an effective fourth line.

Babcock has coached a team of rookies, middling vets and a terrible D into the playoffs. Yes he's coach of the year without question.

Babs really can't find anyone else to use on the PK? I'm interested to see if Leivo can keep up the production. He did have 5 goals in 12 games last year too.

Probably not, but you have to figure he's good for 10-15g and 30-40p when playing in the 2nd/3rd line role as we've seen.

I think Sosh or Lievo will be included in a trade of some sorts.

I think that is why they signed that Aaltonen guy. a 23 year old with skill that has potential to be an NHL regular. Essentially he replaces whoever leaves.
