You should read the books.

I can't. Sid slashed my fingers off so I can't turn the pages.

Huh?

He slashed his finger off...not even a penalty?? Or at the very least a fine?

It's ridiculous that a player can slash a player in the nuts and chop a players top of his finger off in the same week without even getting minor dicipline

- Santo_44

Penalty, sure. But if not for the outcome would anyone even suggest that the league should look at it? It was a pretty routine slash, happens all the time. This one just had an unfortunate result. He definitely should have gotten 2 minutes.

And we call Marchand the rat of the league.

I like Sid. But what he's done the past week has been pretty disgusting. And he knows he can get away with it

- Santo_44

Totally agree.

Players will start taking justice into their hands if Sid's bullpoop continues, and he deserves it.

Agreed. Here's a question for everyone... Who's more annoying? Steve Simmons, Pierre McGuire or Mike Augello?

Steve Simmons not even close

Someone made a good point. We're looking at the injury as the reason for discipline but it ain't gonna happen. Look at Johnny G getting is his wrist busted by slashes with no peep from the league.

Just now @Real_ESPNLeBrun tells us that Bill Daly says there will be no discipline for Crosby for the slash on Methot. @TSN1050Radio

I understand what you're saying and agree, but how many times has the league punished a result instead of an act? Someone else mentioned earlier if the rules are reversed Methot would be disciplined for sure. More bullpoop double standards and DOPS not fulfilling their mandate.

It's not a double standard, though.

Nobody gets supplementary discipline for slashing hands.

Not Sid.

Not 4th line goons.

Phil got a few preseason games for slashing at Scott, and Sid's slash was much, MUCH more forceful than any of noodle-armed Phil's lovetaps

The only thing everyone is asking for is some (frank)ing consistency and equal treatment across the board. Apparently that is too much to ask.

Kinda like Polak's hit was pretty routine?

Kinda like Bjorkstrand turning into the boards and putting himself in that position routine?

The double standard in the league for star players is (frank)ing disgraceful and needs to change. poop, Sid DIDN'T EVEN GET FINED for spearing O'Reilly THE GAME BEFORE!?!?

It's garbage and there's no defending it.

It's consistent.

It's equal.

To paraphrase Oprah, No suspension for you, no suspension for you, no suspension for everyone!
