I'm hearing from multiple sources that Crosby and Marchand did a cross blend of each other's DNA at some point during the WCH. It seems to be paying off for both of them.

Well Kopitar was an excellent, underrated player for many years. he has tailed off, as has that whole team.

I think Babs deserves it. He's done everything else a head coach can do. I don't think he's ever won the Jack Adams award. I know he didn't in Detroit.

For me, what disqualifies Torts is that his team had a meeting about him and had to tell him to calm down and coach better. I don't know if you can win the Jack Adams if your team is having meetings and asking "what do we do about this guy?"

I know, something bad happens to the sens and I can't even feel good about it because its just wrong.

Yes! As soon as Garnie read 'glory hole' he just stopped what he was doing and left for the Hub.

Interesting to see if Sid gets suspended for that. I'm pretty sure if Methot did that to Crosby we would be looking at a 5 to 10 games.

I dont think it was the team(players) that had the meeting, it was management.

Plus it doesnt take away from what he has been able to get his players to do.

Yes. It's the BABTRON 20000 and it has a glory hole. Only Garnie can start it. You need a PhD to qualify. Philadelphia Hockey Diploma. To get this all you have to do is name the original NHL team which drafted Eric Lindros. Or else sign a waiver stating that you are all in favour of glory holes.

I was almost sure it was the players. I could be wrong though.

No doubt, it seems like he's done a really good job this year. I don't think that they were nearly as bad as their record looked last season though. On paper, they should have been a borderline playoff team. So I don't know how much of the improvement this year is because of Torts, and how much is just good goaltending and playing more to their potential. Obviously you can make a sound case for Torts though.

Iginla scored 35 goals and 89 points when he was 29 like Kopitar is now. It was part of a string of 12 straight 30+ goal seasons that included a 55 and a 54.

i personally don't pay attention to anything the voters of these awards write during the year, so they same goes for the awards they vote on.
