He sucked.
The first line sucked.
Galchenyuk was better.
Maybe the problem is not who centers them but Radulov and Patches - Fredobbface

The year he was acquired he did not score 20 goals - blarneylad
This was your question:
True or False?
Byron is the first Bergevin acquisition to score 20 goals in a Habs uniform?
1 - Micheal Ryder was acquired by Bergevin
2 - Micheal Ryder has scored 20 goals in a habs uniform
3 - Your never said it has to be subsequent to the trade.
I win.

You are correct.
Now to my point, Bergevin has failed to upgrade the top 6 over his tenure. This team has lacked goal scoring since he took over and he has failed to address it year after year.
Adding Radulov was huge. But seeing Plekanec drop out as an offensive guy negated the output. Team is always 10 cents short of a dime up front. |

he's done OK in bringing in some upgrades from outside without getting tied into stupid contracts that we saw go to guys like Ladd and Backes last summer. but the only realistic way to build a solid top 6 is to draft guys that can score 20-25 goals. for whatever reason, Montreal is just incapable of doing that. since 2007, Montreal has drafted 2 players who have scored 20 goals in the NHL: Galchenyuk at 3rd overall and Gallagher. it's kind of nuts how incapable this organization is of drafting and developing offensive talent. |

I reallly don't get why Timmins is still in place.
I guess they are scared of his buff physique and low center of gravity |

it's a mystery. his record over the last decade is (frank)ing terrible. there's something wrong with your development program when you have thin top-6 talent but your GM also has to scavenge the waiver wire and bottomfeed off other team's rosters to fill his lineup.
like i said, i like Bergevin and trust he knows how to put together a team. but agree that the development program needs to be overhauled. |

I think you're a pretentious (frank)ing bumhole, that will over exaggerate to make your point, but you've always been that way. You would argue for Desharnais as a C and Galchenyuk as a wing. Galchenyuk is much better defensively than you would give him credit for. He has work to do on his F/Os and yes you're right being a winger is easier than being a centre. I disagree with you that Galchenyuk isn't capable of being a centre. Live with it, you whiny little girl. |
