One memory to pull us through is remembering that the Hawks beat the Blues in 6 games in 2015 with Seabrook suspended for half the series. IIRC, we won all 3 games during his suspension after falling behind 0-2 to start the playoffs. - AEL_Fox
That was 2014, which was the 2013 team minus Bolland and Frolik. The defense that year could have a guy go down and be okay in the short term. Same thing may be true this year. But if a top 6 main guy had gone down? Idk. |

I thinks the HAWKS need to get Jurco out of the line -up ,not sure what his purpose is(Expansion Draft??) other then to disrupt the chemistry the HAWKS had before his arrive ..GO HAWKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Thanks for the correction. The Hawks played the Predators in the opening round in 2015 when Darling replaced a struggling Crawford. Big ups to Brookbank for standing tall in Seabrook's absence vs the Blues. |

They won the 2015 cup with those pairings. - riozzo
I didn't get a chance to follow up on this yesterday. I remember that for much of 2015, Oduya was still recovering from the broken foot injury, so he was not paired with Hammer for much of the regular season. Once he got that week of rest, his skating took a quantum leap, and he and Hammer became the shutdown pair again. Maybe 2/4 and 7/27 were paired together regularly during the playoffs, but I still seem to remember 4/27 being employed in the big shutdown situations.

Wow Sharks are on a major slide!
Offseason: Trade Jurco for Johns. Get the UND band back together. Sharp/Oduya on 1 yr Soupy-type deals. - Assman22
I think this depends on what Sharp's injury issues are. He's supposed to have surgery after the regular season is over, and that's why Nill wouldn't trade him. For all we know, he could decide to retire. He has dealt with concussion issues this season, also. I wouldn't be surprised of Soupy hangs it up after this season, also. |

I'd do Jurco for Johns....but I can see Dallas doing it. Maybe throw in Pokka and Dallas adds a late round pick. |

Any discussion in the public domain on full recovery time? Glad to hear he's doing this several days before seasons end instead of waiting until May. |

Neither did I...perhaps a stumble, but the Wild's continued problems are a surprise. |

That is the "game in hand". Score holds and it's 'Hawks up 8 with 8 to play. Seeing the schedule a month ago, MN had some cakewalk games. Now not so sure. Plus they have back to backs last two weekends. 'Hawks are done with back to backs. 4-0 Van. |

They have 8 games to figure out how Hanzel fits and helps. Some easy games against crap teams: Det, Col (2) and AZ. |

Are you watching the game? I have the radio feed.
If so...was that hit on Skille clean? |

Missed the hit.
Been flipping between the game and the PGA tour
Vancouver announcers are so annoying it's hard to watch |

No, it's not the game in hand, because the Hawks play tonight. Hawks end the day with game 75 done, and this is game 74 for the Wild. |

Yes, it was a clean hit along the boards. Coyle's knee/leg inadvertently hit Skille's leg into the boards, which is how Skille's knee got hurt. No penalty on Coyle. |

Wild have completely lost their MOJO...
...just a shell of the team they were 30 days ago. Quite the reversal of fortune. |

The Hawks have been fine...finding points even when not playing that well.
But the fall of the Wild...and the Sha-arks...has simply handed the Western Conference to the Hawks on a silver platter.
Hawks may be the only club to hit 100 points in the west. |

Isn't Vancouver isn't on your list of crap teams? And they had their backup in goal too.
The Wild are going to regret the Hanzal trade - big, slow, dumb on the ice and a cheap shot artist. I don't believe the Hawks were ever serious about acquiring him. |

Which says nothing about the play-offs - the Wild have enough games to figure it out and get it all back. My guess is they would be a worthy opponent in the second round - and they and the Hawks should both get there.
Meantime - in the Metro - you could have the top three teams in the league in points in one division - meaning one of the top three goes out in the first round, and another in the second.
Something is wrong with that picture. |
