Hawks generally don't play well in Tampa...regular season that is. I expect a lose, but hopefully the effort returns.

For a club that's likely winning the conference, the Hawks have sure been pasted a few times this season.

5-0 at Oil
4-0 at 'peg
7-0 at Sunrise

Total 22-0 Now that's a great way to screw up your goal differential stats.

Rather obvious they're playing out the season with marginal interest.

Tampa has something to play for...Hawks don't, and they generally blow in Tampa for regular season games.

I (thankfully) missed the game tonight - was it as bad as 7-0 sounds?

This game was a mess and honestly it is one that you throw it away and just move on. The Hawks didn't seem to see eye to eye with the officials tonight and let the game get away from them.

Does anyone know the lineup tonight? Missed all but five minutes of the second, during which I saw two goals against.

Can't imagine they were all that motivated.

What prompted the Panthers name Derek MacKenzie as their captain? Seems like an odd choice without knowing any special circumstances with the team.

Hopefully the Hawks wake up after tonight. It has to be hard to take these games seriously if there is so little on the line.

Agreed. ....just another example of why these pro seasons are too freakin long........
I can't imagine paying big bucks to travel to Florida for these 2 games with the Hawks just playing out the season and just trying to stay healthy. Let's hope they can get through the next 2 weeks without issues surfacing. Cut 2 weeks off the season and we wouldn't see teams folding up the tents right now. JMO.
