Again - losing Anisimov screws up much of the top two lines - Schmaltz doesn't really help Kane and Panarin, especially at the net and getting the puck below the line; Hayden isn't doing as much as is needed with Toews and Panik, reacting too slowly to the puck....

All of the Hawks upper mgt. is in FLA. for a vacation as well and it looked like the team stayed at the hotel pool this evening. Tampa will come to play Monday as they're still in it.

Anyone know what the penalty was going to be on that last goal? I was looking at the replay and it looked like the only thing they could call was a cross-check on Soupy but if that was it.......the ref should never work another game this year.

It just snowballed this evening Golf...Hartman had no business yappin' after taking that penalty. No question the officiating was brutal after that...but looks like they'd like to phone a friend right now.

Boy, Hjalmarsson, Campbell and Van Reimsdyk have been absolutely brutal tonight. Hhalmarrson had two brutal turnovers in the first period and was caught too far over to Keith's side on the Barkov goal. The pairing of Campbelll and Van Reimsdyk was awful and it looks like Quenneville has finally had enough of Van Reimsdyk as he hasn't been on the ice in awhile.

No sooner do I say that but Van Reimsdyk is back on the ice. I guess at 7-0 the point of sending messages is pretty much pointless.

And another night of terrible special teams. God if these Quenneville teams ever had a PP , they would roll teams every night. That Keith to Hossa 6 passes back and forth in period 1 was a disgrace. Way too much emphasis on pretty, NOT anywhere near enough shooting for rebound gritty goals. ...oh wait. ..that's what we'll see in the playoffs right ??????

The sad thing is that's not the first time I've seen Keith and Hossa do that on a power play. I don't remember the game, but the Hawks had an abbreviated 5 on 3 and had Hossa and Keith at the points and they wasted about 30 seconds of the power play just passing it back and forth to each other. Bottom line, you'd be hard pressed to point out a single player that had a decent game or an area where the Hawks played well in. Oddly enough, this was still a game until the Kruger penalty call put them two men short. It looked like they were well on their way to killing off the Hartman penalty as they killed off almost the first two minutes and Rasmussen was about to have a short handed breakaway, but the Kruger call killed them. Hartman is catching a ton of grief from Foley and Konroyd and justifiably so, but even though the Kruger call was horrible, he should have never reached out with his stick on a guy who had no chance to catch Rasmussen. All he did was give the guy an opportunity to take a dive, which he did, and the ref a chance to make a terrible call, which he did. Then later in the game he mouthed off and got an 2 minute unsportsmanlike penalty, but I don't see him getting any grief, nor do I think he sat any shifts like Hartman did. This team hasn't played well in 4 games and they were fortunate to get points in three of them. Tonight it finally caught up to them in a big way.

probably should have used a question mark instead of the exclamation. this would have better shown the relationship between the two statements. Or, you could have written it as a single sentence with both independent and dependent clauses, but would have needed a conjunction in between.
