Lindholm's got 10 points in his last 9 games, including 4 goals.
Guy had a rough start to the season but he's been easily the Canes most noticeable forward since coming off his injury.
He's got a ton of skill and is starting to come into his own. Scoring at a 55 point pace over a full season. - BINGO!
I hope that this switch in fortunes is the real Lindholm. But until he repeats this performance I'm going to remain a wee bit skeptical. |

I was referring to Hall as a cancer you asshat.
Sadly I have seen the effects first hand far to many times. - Wildschwein

Various forms of what the Doctor called "cancer". They haven't been particularly specific. |

I had fully expected him to be a 60+ point C by this point in his career. I'm glad to see his offensive game picking up but I must still admit to being somewhat underwhelmed by his progress thus far.
Now watch him put up 60+ next year and make me eat my words. - Wildschwein
I mean, it's not impossible. Keep in mind he's played on a Canes team that's lacked elite scoring punch (aside from Skinner when he's going). With their D corps rounding out and the team's offensive talent starting to find their groove, I think you'll see an uptick in his production.
Lindholm along with Skinner, Aho, Rask, Teravainen and Staal are now a solid supporting cast of forwards to whatever elite talent they can procure- either through the draft this year or through a trade. Considering their assets, they've got the pieces to make a 3-for-1 happen if they can find a team that's in need of D (Colorado, Toronto, Dallas, etc). |

I notice he's even producing when shorthanded. Fair to assume that his defensive game is still a strength? - MaximumBone
Definitely. Biggest thing is the physical edge he's playing with now. He always said he wanted to pattern his game off of Forsberg but now he's actually doing it. |

Oh for sure, I still think if he's a 50 point guy with good defensive play and a physical edge, I'm happy with him.
Sure glad we didn't take Nichushkin like I wanted to, though. |

So originally you wanted to pick Nichushkin and then you wanted to trade us Pesce for Yak.
I hereby nominate you for Flames GM. Move the (frank) over Treliving. |

Everybody was stunned Nichushkin was falling so far that draft.
Christ it's easy to forget they're only 22. Forgot Nurse was in that draft too. |

Glad to hear that! I'm pleased that this is how a number of Swedish forwards have taken their games. Guys like Landeskog, Forsberg, Lindholm and Rakell help create a nice contrast to this generation's less physical guys (Wennberg, Nylander, Nyquist, Zibanejad, Arvidsson, etc). |

Funny cause I was hoping Lindholm would fall to Edmonton's spot |

I think we'll be better served with Nurse in the end, especially since we have the Canadian equivalent (production wise) of Lindholm in Nuge. |

Yeah, I don't lament the fact that we got Nurse. In hindsight, this organization probably would've ruined Lindholm as they don't seem to do well with coaching Swedes. |

(frank)ing hard to handle Swedes. Save a Swede and draft a Finn. |

I hadn't heard. What was the rumoured deal? - Wildschwein
Was out so couldn't post this
Doesn't say for who but they had a deal in place but Snow nixed it bc he couldn't get another goalie to play for the AHL team |

Huh. I wouldn't have been opposed to this, especially since Halak would have been exposed and perhaps claimed by Vegas anyway. |

Would have loved to have him...sure beats sitting LB as opposed to letting him get more games played in the AHL

Agreed unless of course you get a chance to draft the next Forsberg...but that goes without saying

I wouldnt have been shocked if Salary was retained too.
It would have been an OK gamble to get if he was under 3m after retaining salary.
Maybe that was a Davidson trade since the talk was happening prior to the deadline |

Nope. Pass on him for the next highest ranked Swedish D. Can't go wrong. |
